I'm here to pay my respects to Akira Toriyama, with this... _banger_ of an opening theme, the theme that, combined with "Cha La Head Cha La", introduced not one, but *two* generations to the works of a man who was on an _entirely_ different level. The kind of mad man who basically _invented_ extremely badass anime transformations, with the Super Saiyan transformation... from merely *fucking around* when he didn't want to color the _hair._ A man, portraying this monkey-tailed boy who never backed down, not even when it'd be so *easy* to do so. Akira Toriyama might have forgotten... *but we never will.* May he Rest In Peace.

I absolutely love Dragon Ball. I thought about skipping it once. Well, I'm glad I didn't because it is really good. It's the difference between DB and DBZ that makes both entertaining. Dragon Ball made me laugh out loud a lot more than I thought it would. Dragon Ball Z is more serious focusing more on the fights. I think both are really good anime/manga and they paved the way for shonen in the future. I love this series.

This song makes me feel like training in a heavy turtle shell and climbing up a tower to meet a funky cat.

I remember when I was a kid got back from school, my favourite Nissin Ramen curry in front of me, and my latest Dragon Ballz comic beside me. I thought life couldn't be any better. Brought so much happiness to me. Thank you Akira Toriyama, Rest in Peace.

he didnt make dragon ball z , he made dragon ball lol Pretty sure he had like a "team" help w/ DBZ
@hibikikyu8 ай бұрын
@@Delsoonbye02What are you talking about? Toriyama made Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z. Dragon Ball and DBZ aren't separated in the manga. The manga is called only Dragon Ball, starting from Goku's journey as a kid and ending at the end of the Buu Saga.
@rhyswong89768 ай бұрын
@@hibikikyu yea I do remember Goku starting as a kid. That's where I started the comic right there.

You know I'm just imagining the band and singer of this must have been so charged and just having a grand old time when they made this song, I can hear it in the instruments and the voice that this was something special to them.

@Sabbidiwi extremely subjective based on who you ask, There are still incredible new shows and anime who are great and feel human that I could name but I am not gonna say that there aren't any that don't. There are a BUNCH of old shows that feel human and amazing, Some of it part due to the nostalgia but also part because the bad shows that weren't human also got forgotten. Especially from the era your talking about, I am sure there were also a bunch of shit shows too but... why would people remember those NOW? it would give the imagery that older shows were good because those are the ones we remember. The same thing will happen many years from now for those younger now and the kids of the future.

I’ve always agreed with this! Especially hearing the English version of this song and how dull it is. The heart and soul they put into this song is astounding.

@The Great Ali how was English dull the only reasons you're not thinking the same thing as the Japanese is because you can't even understand it
