Never played a Mario game, Kirby, Smash, or really any NIntendo IP(respectable, play what you like), it's pretty insane to me, when most of Nintendo IPs have influenced the gaming market greatly in past years.

Super Sonic is a real thing, long story short, by using the power of the seven chaos emeralds, artifacts that together have unlimited power, Sonic turns into Super Sonic, a near invulnerable form with technically Infinite power (and yes, Super Sonic was heavily inspired by ssj Goku, his concept art has the exact same pose as Goku when he became ssj for the first Time) As for Kirby's lore...uuh let's just say that, it's way scarier and deeper than it seems at first glance

Figured I'd do some game explanation. The Princess there was Princess Daisy. She first appeared iN Super Mario Land. A game Luigi didn't appear in because it was a Single player experience ont he Game Boy. In that game Mario saved Princess Daisy from Tatanga. An Alien creature basically wanting to rule over Sarasaland. Daisy eventually appeared as an alt to Peach then eventually evolving into her tomboyish personality. People pair her with Luigi now which is just so cute because they work so well together. One being bold and loud (Daisy) while the other being a soft and kind yet cowardly such (Luigi). The space captain was Rosalina. Not Peach. You REALLY don't know Mario at all haha.

Well as for Rosalina, there's a theory that she is indeed Peach but from another timeline, it's confirmed they have a link together, but aren't mother and daughter, they also have similarities in their powers, of many hints with the Luma that peach had when she was kidnapped (the only luma with that color) And also the end cutscene, where all the lumas helps Rosalina to revert time, or the same luma that is left on a destroyed toad ship (which loops perfectly with what Rosalina tells us in her story)

Most TerminalMontage videos are somewhat self-contained though they have continuations between them. At the end of most, though, there’s one or two after-credits that combine together to form a deeper story. This video was the culmination of a bunch of them, a major one at that. Luigi and Kirbo have been time traveling to save Speed-Runner Mario whom they recently found out was possessed by The Speed Demon. This video was basically the season finale of that. Also, you missed the second after-credits scene by stopping the video early where the time traveling Luigi and Kirbo visit the reset Luigi to pass on their information so it wouldn’t be forgotten despite the reset. This is probably a fine video to build hype, but if you want to understand how they got here and a lot of the references, I’d suggest you simply start from the beginning. I believe Jeremy also does season collection and comical summaries- though I recall a few later ones deviating a little due to Speed-Runner Mario’s dimensional manipulations of parallel universes. Also, consider turning on closed captioning. Along with actual closed captioning, there are also supplemental jokes that add to the videos that are well worth having on. Oh, lastly, these are TerminalMontage versions of the characters that while similar to their inspirations, are kind of their own thing. Enjoy should you happen to go down this rabbit hole!
