A lot of them legendary west coast rappers will say they were influenced by an east coast rapper(s). But the mentality that yall had, and respect for being honest, is what I think eventually turned them against the east. Seems like they eventually said man fuck them dudes. Just like OutKast in the south saying “we got something to say”, I think it was the same situation. And that mentality is also how NYC fumbled the ball.

@kob456 The album version is great! The OG version is what was intended to be released if not for a mishap with the tape containing Deck's verse. It doesn't take anything away from the track. It adds to it.
@kob4566 ай бұрын
@@deuce0619 Deck's verse doesn't add much. Redman going last was perfect. The way the track ended was how the universe wanted it. No need to force an OG version on someone just getting to know Pac. Let diehard and collectors have that. This guy is slowly being introduced to Pac. The retail songs are fine and appropriate for what he's doing.
@deuce06196 ай бұрын
@@kob456 I'm not forcing any version on him. I'm recommending a version that's exactly like the released version with the addition of a NY artist from a group he has stated numerous times that he is a fan of. Also, he's been reacting to Pac for a few years now and has done numerous tracks for the "diehards and collectors" already (Let's Get It On, Wherever You Are, Deadly Combination, Watch Ya Mouth, etc.). I have absolutely zero problem if he was to choose the retail over the OG version. They are both amazing tracks featuring artists that can actually hang with Pac, unlike most of the tracks he has had to suffer through featuring the Outlawz.

Dude seriously you're finding out about this 2Pac track too late... Outlawz are from New Jersey and New York too.... He's responding to his haters... Biggie Mobb Deep Jay Z dissed 2Pac in subliminal rhymes back in the day... For Nas they met in NY, they squatched the beef. Nas explained he was a fan of his and never dissed him... 2Pac was supposed to go back to LA to delete the bars he trashed Nas but he died before. To understand 2Pac songs you have to understand the context he dissed all them... It's not about East vs West, it was 2Pac vs his haters...Back in the day NY doen't say your name in their rythmes when he dissed LA exept Tim Dog.
