For you to talk about how blessed you are, in spite of everything you've been through is so awe inspiring. If we all focused on our blessings vs the lack in our lives, this world would be a better place & we'd all be happier. I've always said that having an autoimmune disease is my greatest blessing because it changed the way I look at life, all because of something my youngest said to me when he was just 6 years old. (He's now 30). I was having a bad day & he looked at me & said "mommy you know you're one of the lucky ones" & I asked him what he meant & he replied "you're lucky because now that you know what bad days are you'll never take a good day for granted again". I was mind blown. I still get chills & tear up to this day every time I tell this story. My life changed in that moment & I have never looked back. I had a rough time this week. Really just full of anxiety this whole week. I take care of my grandma and sometimes it’s very hard. She depends a lot on me for her daily needs. I have to work to be able to provide for her. I have to pay her bills and buy her foods. I like watching your videos and you have a good family. You’re positive attitude is something very special.

FYI. The accident: 6 weeks into her junior year of high school, about 11 months ago - she did a back flip in her friend's yard and broke her neck. She had been on cheer squad, which involves gymnastics and aerial moves, but her accident did not happen in conjunction with that and was not at a practice, competition or show.
