Keep it real. I make and sale a lot of ties. I ran the grove all the way down on one side I fixed it the same way you did. The person who bought it love it and did not know about the patch .

i watch all the major woodworking channels and i have to say yours is my favorite. i think it would be awesome if u would do a cabinet project for tool storage or a breakfast nook. keep up all the awesome work man u inspire me so much on my own projects

wow! You know what i've learn the most from this project? Never get rid of your old project left over ... i saw that from your "frameless photo stand" you could use some pieces to trace your curves (well not yours but you know what i mean!!).

When you going to use your Pin Nailer. You could have pin nailed the top. I use mine all the time. LOVE IT!

I think so. You can also experiment by screwing on the top and adjusting the tension of the screws, like a regular cajon.

I'm 19 and started wood work a year ago because of your chess videos ,but i was just wondering if you can make a video about restoring old woodwork furniture eg antique tables boxes anything wooden that needs restoring. I just put it about 1/3 of the way over, based on ones I researched. (i.e. Googled) It would be worth experimenting with different locations.

Steve, it's worth looking into getting one of Canadian Tires Mastercraft Osciallating spindle sanders. They go on sale for %40 sometimes and they are a great deal. You can use it like a drum sander with a fence as well for small pieces.
