Really fun and relaxing. Your presentation is great. I wear my friendship paracord most of the time, just finished my 40cal bracelet. A blast. Thanks again.

I use 9mm with 550 Paracord or 3mm braided leather glued and wrapped around 8ga bare copper wire. It makes a very nice bracelet. No need for magnets because the bare 8 ga wire is rigid enough to hold its shape. I've made about 40 of these. I've used 45s but the 9 mm fits better. Nice video thanks!

I do mine a little differently. I use gutted cord, and put the wire core inside a piece of gutted cord. I then put a skull bead in the middle, then use E6000 glue to glue a piece of cord to each end and let it set. I then wrap to the skull and back to the end on each side, then glue that in place and let it set. I then trim the ends, then glue the casing in place. It comes out nice and tight. For extra decoration, I put a turks head with a pineapple interweave on each side of the skull, then a simple turks head near each casing. The turks heads help keep everything in place, and look really nice.

It looks like 9mm brass would work perfect with the 12 gauge wire, and some quick curing epoxy would work just as well as the hot glue.

Add some neodinium magnets inside the casings first, so they "lock" together.

+Stewart Buckley Copper is not magnetic so I am not sure that putting magnets in the casings would do anything other than taking up space in the casing. If you are suggesting the magnets for health reasons...that would depend on if you believe in the health benefits that some believe magnets provide...just my 2 cents worth take if for what you will.

Not for health reasons, but I do wear a anion bracelet that generates negative ions! I don't think brass would block the attraction. I just tested with 1/4 inch aluminium and it's OK. Cheers :)

Who knew? 🤷🏼‍♀️ I got 12 gauge copper wire 3ft for $1.12. I have a LOT of 9mm Luger casings. My boyfriend does his own ammo reloading so we have a kitty litter size bucket full of 9mm brass we reuse and I just made my first bracelet with 9mm casing. I use the ones without the spent primer and took some birthstones I got from hobby lobby and use June for my birthday and July for his birthday. Turned out pretty cool. I think I was having trouble wrapping the cord around the wire. But I managed to get it done. Thanks for sharing the video!

the primer ignites the power in the shell casing which in tune propels the lead bullet . Your video is great thanks for the time you took and inform us. I will let you know how I did with my new bracelets. Deeman

Great vid, thanks! I didn't have spent .40's or 9's but had a handful of spent .45 casings. To make that work, I used 12 gauge wire doubled over. Still a little gap but the doubled over idea may work for .40 cal and 14 gauge wire (for example). This does make the bracelet a little wider/flatter, which doesn't look bad.

Flush cutters or micro flush cutters. Though, they really are made for super thin wire, like 20 to 36 gauge. Cutting 12 gauge solid copper wiring destroys those things. Because the idea of those little things is a precise cut, not a heavy cut. Some regular old flush wire cutters that you can pick up at wal-mart would do just fine for what you need to do in this video.

Didnt have the copper wire, so I used tie wire, its a little more ridged, Doubled the wire and used the drill, it made a perfect twist. Plus the wire will allow you to pinch the cord at the at the end to secure it good. Plus the drill is awesome to twist the cord. It works well with 1,2,3 cords to give more color.

I have wanted to make this bracelet and didn't know where to get the casings, but I ordered them from your website. I hope to have them within the next day or so. I was only able to find 12 gauge wire when I went to Wal-Mart, but I will go to Lowe's or Home Depot and buy some 10 or 8 gauge wire. Love shopping at Bored Paracord

10 or 12 gauge wire copper is what I would use. I'm an electrician those two gauges even going down to 14 which is smaller than 10 and 12 are ideal. You get past 10 gauge wire into 8 and such its getting pretty thick and hard to work with. Great video tho going to have to make one of these!

Another idea instead of the inner copper wire. Put small magnets in the bottom of the casing. That way you could use a braid instead of a wrap. You could develop one that is more flexible and a bit looser.

+green98cavy Yeah fiddling around last night that's what I came up with. I glued 2 different colors into the casing along with the stiffener, and braided a snake knot. Came out ok, I think 45 acp casings would look better, but 44 mag is what I had already. The casings won't fit over the braid, so you have to stop braiding when the other casing will cover the rest.
