Suggestion: For a non-metallic core, consider use 0.095" or 0.110" trimmer plastic cord. After the bracelet is formed, warm it with a hair dryer or heat gun, then allow it to cool around a mandrel. By minimizing the metal, one has a greater chance of bring the object thru security. What's the point of an ornament, if you can't keep it?
