Done, thanks for the instructions. For the one I did, I only used 4 single threads instead of four pairs as it is for my kids climbing gym. Around 1.9 meters long (6.3 feet).

Super Helpful. You've convinced me to try it for my kids new obstacle course!

Couple of questions: How thick was the diameter of the climbing rope? Is it a nylon rope? How thick was the diameter at the end of the process? Where do you suggest we buy climbing rope if we can't find any used?

nice video it works great but i did without cutting there rope which is a bit of a hassle but that way you dont have to permanently shorten your rope

This is super helpful thank you. I do have one question. 1. Do you have a ratio on the braid? Example. if I want a 100' climbing rope how long do my strings need to be with the least amount of waste?

Hey, in like to make about a 15’ fast rope like this for my gym, any idea how much rope I’d need to start with? I’ve got several old tree climbing ropes that are between 120-150’ long, but I don’t want to start cutting them up till I’ve got some idea.

The rope I used was 60 meters or 196 feet. When I was done the end result was around 15-20 feet long. Hope that helps. I think you might end up just a bit short of 15' if you only use one rope. If you sacrifice two ropes it will be more than long enough.

What is your mounting / anchor solution for this?
@kirkearl4 жыл бұрын
psc29717 I had a climbing carabiner on the end of the rope. Then I’d clip that into 2 loops of climbing webbing tied to the ceiling rafters.

I mean its great if you have used climbing ropes. But otherwise a used hawser from some boat is more cheap than getting a used climbing rope and doing all the work tho.

Not everyone is giving climbing rope, nor is it cheap so this title should be cheap for you.
