Thank you so much! Still works today on the latest version of OBS. Excellent tutorial and let me be creative with my "circle". The only thing I think you should have added was the border image needs to be a PNG with a blank background. Outside of that it worked!

Yeap! this solved my problem with OBS, I needed to switch between 2 scenes, one with full frame and one with a circle overlay, and for some reason OBS was switching my camera. I just tried it as in this video and now is fixed! no camara switch!!! 👍🎉

Hi Cat, It was a great watch! My niece is on KZbin, and I try to find helpful videos for her so she can learn new things. I think this will be a helpful watch for her. This looks like a great method, and I am sure my niece and other creator friends will appreciate it as well. Thanks a lot for such an amazing video. I have been watching other videos of yours and learning a lot from them.

Thank you, close to after 2 years you posted this, this video really came in handy! I wasn't too sure of where you grabbed the circular image but I figured you created using canva or such and did the same and made an image mask and voila! Thank you again! BTW, I use a HDMI splitter and feed two images using 2 HDMI to USB devices and make a separate source input using 1 videocam.

Hey Cat, just applied your method to my internal training videos and it works like a charm, in my "normal" videos. But I had to make a quick switch to Trello to show this platform inside my video (which covers a totally different topic) but I wanted my circular camera in it. Had the whole thing with my "extra" topic up in the blink of an eye. Love your videos and your calm presentation style (contrary to some other webcasters whom, I guess, take into to much sugar ;-) ).

Silly to leave one of the most important parts out of the video. I just figured it out though. In Canva I have a green background and make my border using borders provided under graphics. When you bring the image into your scene where you have your circular camera you will add the filter Chroma Key to the image and the green will disappear and then you place it over your circular camera and lock them together. I may have left out some steps but that should get you pretty far or even all the way. lol Probably different ways of doing it, but that's what I did.

When I add my border it's a big black box that covers my circle cam. I made the border circle in Canva and saved as PNG. Your cam shows through... mine is hidden beneath.

THANK YOU!! That was very very helpful! I have one question: As I plan to present a Google Slides presentation (with my circular camera at the bottom right) and record it with OBS, I want to have my google slides presenter view notes available to read and at the same time be able to look directly into the camera. Do you think a teleprompter (like the elgato one you made a video about) is the best option for this project or are there any other ideas/ ways to do that? Blessings.

Hi! Great video. Saw the suggestion to use source clone as an alternative solution. I was wondering, what's the advantage of inserting a scene into a scene, which seems to achieve the same goal? Or perhaps put in a different way - which solution is either a) less resource heavy or b) less messy (the extra Scenes can get confusing sometimes whereas source clones keep the interface clean.

Excellent video, thank you! I was able to follow your instructions to create the white circle and the Circular Cam with the filter. All works well with my camera view inside a circle, and the whole thing overlayed over Slide. However, I followed your instructions for the border, but I am getting a black rectangle around the blue circle and I do have my circular camera view inside the blue border, and the whole thing is overlayed on the Slide. Do you have any advice how to get rid of the black rectangle? (I've used Keynote to create the blue border, similar to how you created it in PowerPoint, but I used the Subtract shapes)
