If you are afraid of cutting the strips too close to the center line, you can take a piece of masking or painters tape and run it down the center to use as a guide.

TYFS this craft. I’m thinking that it will be good for my new beagle puppy 🐶 too!I like to do different types of crafts & having used zip ties in a couple, I would suggest trying some wire cutters on those Zip ties. In my opinion, they’re easy to use & cut right through these thick plastic pieces .
