I have a suggestion: build an arm guard which has a spring mechanism that when triggered, causes multiple segments to come rotating out from a compartment on top and form a shield. Alternatively, make an arm guard with a large retractable blade. Looking forward to a reply.

You're competent, smart, and have a lot of experience with all sorts of inventive metal work: you should do a video of some sort of mechanical invention. Whether it be a weapon, trap, survival tool, or just even a handy item for home. And try to think of its form and function all from scratch in your head. It'd be really interesting to see what you could first think up, then craft. Anyway, good job and good luck.

Eli, I have a couple of weapon/ gadget suggestions. I'm saying gadget because my first suggestion was a Spider-Man web shooter. Obviously you wouldn't be able to use the cool webbing stuff like Spider-Man does, but I thought silly string could work? My second suggestion was the wolverine claws. I know in a past video you said you couldn't do a spring loaded blade like in assassins creed, so not sure if this would be possible either, but thought I might toss it to you anyway. Love your work, it's amazing. Keep on keeping on

The most important part of welding is getting the heat and wire speed set right, that I how oh get the really good looking welds without a tig welder. Also about the zinc, it is best to remove the zinc coating or weld in a very well ventilated area because you can get something similar to iron poisoning from the Gasses created by vaporizing the zinc when welding, but since you getting from the gasses it is a lot easier to get and harder to prevent.

i thought of 2 really cool ideas for you to make- a full housing weaponized shield that can turn you and your friend into a rock... and a simple add-on for the ice skates. and then i have a challenge. for the shield i was thinking (whilst watching a shield video you made) "if someone ricochets a grenade to land behind you, how could you protect yourself from both your enemy and the blast at the same time?" so i thought "what about a shield that can disconnect from itself?" basically the shield would completely house you and your friend/s and when ready you both charge in opposite directions. I suppose this could also be a 4 shield type deal with 4 friends... or maybe 1 shield for each arm and when they're all disconnected they become a weapon (possibly each of them having different attributes), and maybe it could house one other personfriend who's outright ready for attacking but isn't for defense nearly at all. for the ice skates i feel as there isn't much for overhanded use... but WHAT IF you put a crowbar on them? i love the idea of crowbars in post apocalyptic scenarios as i'm sure there'll be plenty of people boarding up their houses, if there are zombies crowbars bash easily into the brains, plus if your enemy dodges really well against the bone breakers, you'll be able to have a lot more reach AND you can snag your enemy and force him into your attack with the other bone breaker. i feel as if the crowbar should swing on an axis but it should also lock in and out of place... perhaps there could be a twisting mechanic that loosens said crowbar to rotate it 180 degrees and tightens to lock it into the desired position. if that doesn't work it'd still be nice to have a crowbar that could change between 2 positions (10-15 degrees would help protect you from swords and fully extended would do all the other stuff). my challenge is this. you're able to get your hands on any supplies you might need... but you cannot use power tools-- in fact, imagine all the electricity has gone out.

i know this isnt related to the grappling hook but this is your latest video and i just came up with an idea for a new weapon. it could be a larger two-handed version of the bone splitter called the skull splitter. the main idea for it is to be heavier so it has more force in every swing, therefore making it easier to kill zombies. so it is basically the bone-splitter but like twice as big.
