I think what's missing here is a tapered bore. the airflow needs some back pressure to send some energy to the paper chamber. That's why every kazoo you can buy is tapered and they tell you to be sure to hum into the large end. I would imagine stepping the size down would work as well as tapering; the whole key is that the exit has to be smaller than the entrance.

That is neat. What does the plastic cover? Should it cover the entire hole, or should there be a space left where air can pass around it?

So then you take some boards, saw them. Into pieces, glue them back together, drill holes in them, sand and paint, put cellophane over some of the holes, and it makes a sound like a comb covered in wax paper? ?? :)

Frankly, that is not what a kazoo sounds like. You could cup your hands in front of your mouth and make the same sound. It's not that you are crap kazoo player, which you probably are... its that you've made thing you call a kazoo, which looks like a kazoo, but has no resonator to make it SOUND like a kazoo. Whatever that plastic wrap, or cellophane was that you attempted to use for a membrane did almost nothing at all.

You should explain a little more what younare doing. Just from.watching the video I have no idea how to make the holes properly. Maybe use the time while you are cutting to talk about the process. I literally fell asleep while watching you silently cut stuff.
