Designer plates, certainly beats coasters any day. Some lovely dinner sets would be awesome

You're proving the reason they need to bring back real classes in schools such as drafting and wood shop. I took those classes back in the 80’s and it’s helped me so many times get out of jams and save lots of money…way before CNCs and lasers, but I enjoy the new technology. I have a laser and 2 3D printers. No CNC but I am definitely interested in one. Cool plate! Hey! First time I've ever been first to comment on anything LOL

Agree. They teach so many generic topics in schools, and since I graduated from high school, classes in trades have all but disappeared. This is the central reason why I started a channel. I wanted to show people some of the tools available and then use them to create projects to show people how to make them. The next generation of makers is out there, and I want to help them out before humankind completely loses the ability to create. 😀

Steve, a very cool project for gift making and giving, especially if personalized with a laser. I would be interested in the project plans for Vcarve. Thank you.

Steve, the functionality of the jig is brilliant! I have a carving cnc that has proprietary software with the 2 sided carve process is built in. The alignment can be a little finicky, so this would be perfect. Thanks much!!!

Steve-would love to buy these files; just getting into both CNCing and lasering and just this weekend was out to dinner where they used a black walnut plate and I said, “Man, I want to figure out how to do this on a CNC” and then saw your video…awesome!

If you did not inlay the diamond pattern, how deep did you engrave the diamonds themselves?
@SteveMakesEverything4 ай бұрын
The rim is pretty thin, so I could have engraved right through it with a 40W laser. However, I used a light touch so you can just feel it if you rub your finger across it

@@AcryliWoodDesigns I haven't done many 3D printer videos, but I own several - including a couple I designed myself. So you can ask me questions if you need to ramp up. Feel free to join our weekly livestream on Wednesdays and ask Roger all the questions you want. His channel is more focused on 3D printers than mine
