I am new to learning leathercraft so I am just now watching this video. Your videos are great because you give very clear instruction. They really have helped me so much! You mention there is a shoe product at 8:43 in the video that prevents the leather from aging with patina and if you have remembered what it was I would really like if you would reply back? I also would not normally be interested in something to stop the patina process, buy my daughter is wanting a bag that will stay this very light color so I thought I would try it. I think some of the younger generation like that look because it is kind of that scandinavian vibe that is so popular in everything now. Thanks so much!!

I'm going to have to try and convert the pattern into an stl for 3D printing since I don't actually have a regular printer.
@TheAkashicTraveller3 жыл бұрын
Turns out that's really easy with inkscape and openSCAD. Just import pdf in inkscape, save normally, then $fa = 1; $fs = 0.4; depth = 2; linear_extrude(height=depth) import(file = "flap_wallet.svg", center = true); in OpenSCAD, then render and save as stl. Then print as normal.

Glue won't adhere as well, stitching could stretch or rip through softened leather, burnishing the edges won't look as good.
