My mom has a pattern that she has been making since the 1970's. She is 83 now qnd still has the pattern from Mcalls *. She tried to get an updated pattern but they said they don't make it anymore. This is great.

First, thank you for selling the pattern and offering your adorable design. There is a couple of small things I would like to offer to keep in mind either for improvements to the pattern or the tutorial video or for future patterns etc. Generally when purchasing a digital pattern watermarks are not included (having said that small notes on each pattern piece is great so people know where the pattern came from) the excessive watermarks all over the printed pattern muddle the pattern and wastes ink when printing. The blacked out portions could just be outlines no need to fill them, again it wastes ink when printing. Repeating the same pattern piece in the pdf is also not necessary, just put a note that says cut 4 or cut 6 etc. Again wastes ink. Having watched the video a couple of times I can follow it no problem but I have experience with leather crafting and a wide variety of crafts so my crafting experience level is pretty high so no big deal but someone who is just starting out or doesn't have experience with leather work could be confused because of the sped up steps. Some are labeled in the video, some are not. This would be to reduce frustration on your customers part and frustration and time on your part. These observations are truly made to help you in the future not in the spirit of criticizing your efforts. I love the pattern and can't wait to make it. Also love your shorts where you make custom bags. All the different colors and styles are awesome!

Thank you so much for your feedback! We are always looking for ways to improve our pattern. As this was our first pattern/tutorial it is a bit rough. I appreciate your honesty! We will be revising and reworking our pattern and video to improve. Thank you so much! -Lauren

@@Conflictedgiftsplease still offer one that prints all the pieces!, some can forget if it’s only a small print and some work better with visual representation including myself, I don’t sew often but I know when I tried a teddy bear I got mixed on all the pieces with just one paper or two with the tiniest labels for more 😭

Hey thank you for a cool pattern i wish yall would have put how much leather to buy on you pattern or instructions and i have a question is there a reason you didnt attach your liner to your leather pieces as you were putting them together
@Conflictedgifts6 ай бұрын
Leather needed is about 24”x24” plus more for a strap. We don’t attach the liner before due to the soaking and oiling process would ruin the fabric.

Where do you get the leather to make the bag?

We get our leather from Tandy, Springfield and Weaver.

what color dyes did you use for this one?
@Conflictedgifts Жыл бұрын
I used a Fiebings pro dye black! I now usually paint the accents with Angelus paint just to ensure no dye bleeding together
