Thank you Joy, great pattern. I am close to finishing mine made with your large panel. I wish I had used thinner leather, closer to what you show in thus video. When done I will post photos in your Facebook group.

Hi, Lynda! Which color leather panel did you use for the wallet? If you ever want to give it another go, I can send a different color your way in a lighter weight. Just give me a yell at any time and I am on it. :) Many thanks - Can't wait to see it!

The vintage green, I think that was the name. Hope to finish today.

I using a metal zipper but I will cut one end to measure 7” I noticed that you stated closed end zippers.
@joyherman59867 ай бұрын
The closed end zippers have a 7” opening, but extra zipper tape on the ends so they can be sewn into the opening. If using continuous zipper tape, it will need to be cut longer than 7”.

Great looking wallet. I am going to try it. Can I use a firmer temper leather about 1mm thick like a Saffiano? Thank you for the pattern.😊
@georgiagirlstitches7 ай бұрын
I haven't tried it in the lightweight Saffiano just yet, but we just got a mustard color in and it is on my sewing list for sure. I really do believe it should be great with a thin/firm leather like Saffiano. However, just to be safe, I recommend holding off on punching the snap hole in the flap until after the wallet is completed because a firmer leather might not fold over quite as far as a soft one. By holding off, you can make sure all goes well with your flap closure in the end. There are notes in the written instructions regarding this adjustment, but if they are not helpful, please feel free to give us a yell.

I made a mistake on the zipper cutout instead of 3.5 I made 2.5 on the bottom zipper. Is there a workaround?
@joyherman59867 ай бұрын
In that case, as long as you keep everything else the same (especially the “fold to” lines made on the back of the leather), the zipper opening will just sit down a little further, rather than right at the top where the fold of the pocket is. I think you will still love it!
