We wanted Fukua & Shamonè to basically be more than just simple Filia & Samson clones. They at first sound like the originals but because of Brain Drain's "unique" experimentation, they start to show anomalies from their original counterparts. It wasn't shown here but Shamonè is actually quite chill and laid back compared to Samson's more boisterous personality. It's just to give them more agency.

I kinda like that Filia shouts "GREGOR SAMSON!" even if she doesn't do the super. It's like she just *really* wanted a battle cry of any kind to precede kicking Fukua in the jaw and couldn't think of anything else other than what Samson says.

Fun Fact: The "Strange isn't it?" part is inspired by a scene in the Sonic OVA. In the movie both Sonic and Metal Sonic fight to a standstill for a while, until Sonic mocks, that they both know each others moves just too well 👍
