that's great but how do you make the holes threw the crystals?
@witchdecay8 жыл бұрын
How do you carve the holes into the crystals? I've tried using my engraving tool, but it always breaks the crystal I'm using. And all the crystals I've found with holes pre-carved at craft stores are very fake looking, and likely made of plastic or glass. Any advice? Thanks!

try doing a wire wrap style instead of drilling holes? cause I have the same issue as yours but rather than risking breaking the crystals by drilling a hole, i'd rather go safe and do a wire wrap which is even cuter :)

Cosplay Companions Buy them on eBay. Lot of choice and different look. Watch crystals sizes.

The best way to drill a hole into a crystal is you want to have a bowl of water not hot but not hot water but not freezing cold water somewhere in between that way when you were drilling your drill bit into your Crystal that you're holding between your two fingers that it allows the drill to stay cool but not allowing you to drill through your Crystal and break it or the bull that you're using I find that this works best for me and you want to make sure you're using a rather small specialized jewelry drill bit not just a regular household drill bit that matters to

I dug up some crystals. How did you drill the holes in the quartz to put the wire through?
@JewellersAcademy3 жыл бұрын
I'm afraid I don't personally have any experience with this unfortunately. I imagine you will need to secure the gemstone you wish to drill and use a drill with a stand in order to get the perfect hole x

Hi, great video! I can't wait to give this a go :). Can you please tell me what chain you are using and where to purchase it from. Thanks so much :)
@JewellersAcademy4 жыл бұрын
Hi there, in the video Jess uses the same style simple trace chain in both gold plated and silver plated base metal. I think it was probably about 2/3mm wide. Check out our suppliers list for where to buy you supplies www.jewellersacademy.com/jewellery-supplies x
