Excellent video and work! From my experience, your settings are “spot on”. As others have probably commented, the pocket 3 works great for larger, wide open modern homes, but some wider angle options will be necessary for smaller or older homes. For this, I have a great wide rectilinear lens that prevents the distortion on my main camera. . .though I usually only use it for stills. I hope others in your industry take your advice and begin using the Pocket 3. They shouldl also watch and learn from this video - the professionalism of your work is terrific! Thanks, and happy holidays to you! All the best, Bob

Great video! I have some questions and would love if you can reply as soon as you have some time, sorry in advance! 1- I saw in the video that the windows were blown out, how can you fix this in the P3? 2- When shooting for example details in homes, how can you get as much depth of field possible, for example when having foreground? 3- Which ND Filter you use when shooting indoors when for example trying to lower the floor flares (wood floors)? Thanks so much!
@realestateagentdevelopment9 ай бұрын
Indoors I will use the 8 or 16 ND filter… you have to be careful because the shadows are difficult to recover if you go to dark. In this video I didn’t use an ND inside because the lighting was too drastic and I didn’t want to risk noise in my shadows. Depth of field you have to dial in the shutter speed… out of the box the Osmo Pocket 3 will look like phone footage until you switch exposure to Manual and dial in the shutter speed and frame rate. As far as removing some of the glare off flooring/ glass I’d recommend the polarizing ND filters for this. I’m using startRC cheap on Amazon. Thanks for watching.

I like to start a new clip with every room and shoot that room until I’m satisfied. That way I know when editing that the final take of than clip is going to be the best take. It makes it easier to create in and out points before dropping the clips onto your timeline in the editing software. I show the process in my CapCut editing tutorial… check it out if you have time.

Great Video! I just picked one up for the convenience and ease of use. I would say my only gripe about it is that the default lens focal length is too narrow and not quite wide enough especially if you are shooting long take speed ramp shots to show a whole floorplan. Even the wide angle lens is too distorted so by the time you correct it in post, still feels not quite wide enough. It's perfect for those pieced together edits like this one though. Also great for your one man shooter talking heads and super convenient with the built in lav mic. If a third party made a better wide angle lens for this thing, I think I would never want to pull out my bigger clunkier full frame cameras for my youtube videos ever again. Because honestly, regular people can't tell the difference in quality between these 1 inch sensor cameras and bigger FF cams, especially when they are viewing it on their phones in 720p-1080p. Workflow wise, this thing is great. I can be in and out of a couple different New Con models very quickly. Hopefully the next iteration will also let you shoot vertically while using the whole sensor instead of cropping. Now that would truly be an all-in-one!
@realestateagentdevelopment Жыл бұрын
Thank you!!! I actually kind of prefer a 18-20mm focal length but I will use my 15mm sometimes. I agree the wide angle lens included with the creator combo does cause some unwanted distortion and it would be great if someone else could make a better one.

Great Tutorial. I am wondering about your final rendered video. You film in 4K-60fps, Normal color, HEVC (so it is 10bit). Is your final edited video rendered to 4K-60fps HEVC or do you reduce it to 4K-30fps (so you can get a little slow-mo if you want) AVC? I have found that Instagram seems to have difficulty with HEVC and Vimeo dummies it down to AVC anyway.

Good evening, thank you for sharing this amazing video. I would like to ask a question please. The Pocket 3 just arrived and I've already done some tests, but only by "eye". I do video editing and my eye is quite trained, but I haven't seen a difference in video quality between filming with the "Normal" and "D-Log" options. Yes, it's certainly a softer image, but in practice I don't see a leap in image quality. Can you see it? I don't know if you use the Pocket 3 often, can I ask you if you use it with the "Normal" option or with "D-Log"?* Thank you
@realestateagentdevelopment11 ай бұрын
Personally I feel like the exposure is slightly worse in D Log after the rec 709 conversion vs Normal. I bought a Lut pack for the Pocket 3 so shooting in D Log and grading with that custom Lut pack I do notice I am able to achieve some pretty cool looks. I do not use these Luts while shooting Real Estate.

Thanks for the video. I have been shooting RE photography for a long time and finally making myself learn video. I picked up one of these the other day and have been practicing at home but find my video kind of jerky, like you can see and up and down when I walk . I have mostly been shooting in 4K at 60fps. I supposed with practice it will improve but what is your reasoning for using follow mode versus lock? I feel in lock it's easier to have straight verticals but maybe I am missing something. Thanks

Yes the only way to stabilize the up and down or “Z” Axis is by perfecting the way you walk… practice that ninja walk and you won’t notice this up and down movement. It’s the only way haha. Definitely doable though.

Every situation is going to be different but rule of thumb on any camera (or phone app)is to keep your shutter speed at two times the frame rate, and Aperture (F Stop) as low as possible (Pocket 3 is fixed at f2.2 anyway) which will allow more light and keep it bright. The only thing then that needs to be adjusted is the ISO which you want to keep as low as possible but high enough to where the image isn't dark or grainy. On the Pocket 3 you can go into settings program ISO to a range so the device will increase or decrease automatically based on the needs of the situation but you can cap it to where ISO wont get so hight that the image starts to break down. On Pocket 3 set the ISO to 50-800, this will keep it low enough to adjust when you're in a bright room but gives it room to go up when you're in a dark room but not so high that the image breaks down.
@BoazTube694 ай бұрын
I have looked into some ND filters. Some range from ND 4 to ND 16 and others from ND 32 to ND 256. What is the best range? Is 256 usable at all, even outdoors? For indoors, have you ever actually needed to use ND or is CPL enough?
@realestateagentdevelopment3 ай бұрын
I typically use the ND 8 and 16 the most... yes I have used them indoors before. There has been a time or two when there is so much natural light coming in that I need the ND filters in order to keep my settings dialed in the way I want them.

Nice video. I smiled when you said at 3:45 that the active tracking gives the illusion that you have a cameraman, at the very same time as showing the tripod shadow. I’m sure your customers don’t care so it doesn’t matter. As I said, it’s a good video.
@realestateagentdevelopment Жыл бұрын
If you seen my cameraman you’d know that shadow would be even larger had he been there for this one 😆. Not the best time of day when I was out there but you get the gist.

Why does everyone want motion blur? I hate it. When you are making a sales VIDEO, why does it have to be "cinematic"?
@realestateagentdevelopment Жыл бұрын
It’s all personal preference. I personally don’t like the look of choppy amateur videos… to me I like to look more professional in a sales video. That’s what we mean by motion blur… just the way you appear to the subconscious eye… you want it to look true to life not choppy and low budget. That’s all that means.

24 frame rate maybe?
@realestateagentdevelopment11 ай бұрын
60fps on all interior shots so you can slow down the footage. I never shoot real estate in 24 or 30 frames per second personally.

@@realestateagentdevelopment Right, i heard that idea previously but i forgot, thanks for the respond!

Personally I don't think it's wide enough.
@realestateagentdevelopment Жыл бұрын
I think it’s wide enough for larger open floor plans… I could see 20mm being too narrow for smaller homes. There’s also a wide angle adaptor that changes it to 15mm but there is some distortion. After correction it’s prob still a 18mm or so.

Love your presentation But can we please stop saying cinematic. Sick of that word on youtube. It's great video, there's nothing cinematic about it. Please don't think I'm talking about your work. You're super dope. I'm just referring to the word "cinematic" not you brother

Haha… can I still use the term “b roll” at least? I gotta keep up with the other channels. Thanks for watching I appreciate it!

According to the Oxford Dictionary cin·e·mat·ic (adjective): relating to motion pictures. "cinematic output" noun 1. the visual qualities or aesthetics of a film or video. "even if horror-movie cinematics are not to your taste, the show is arresting" He used the word in the proper way and most people do as well. How about you stop being a word nazi and just enjoy the content.

But it is cinematic. Perhaps on a smaller scale - but the footage is done using "cinematic" moves.

Landscape? Aren't you publishing to Instagram/TikTok? People are watching these on their phones.

But…why? You see your house in landscape, not vertical. Unless you plan on never actually selling that house or even the idea of it
@realestateagentdevelopment7 ай бұрын
@@RealWorldReview The point is to create popular content that drives engagement. Vertical/short form video is what gets seen. People watch and engage and then the algorithm feeds future videos and posts of yours to those viewers. Social media is way more powerful than a horizontal video set to music and uploaded into MLS or Zillow. Thats why I prefer to do both
