You're not entirely wrong. It doesn't allow as much airflow as a traditional cover, but does allow enough so that it isn't noticeable; temperature-wise. Thanks for watching.

Could you do it with more vents or would it compromise the structural stability you thnk?

That''s what I was thinking. Perhaps more vents but slimmer. I fear if I made them wider it would compromise it. I don't know though. Maybe I'll have to play around with it some time.

1-you're using the wrong saw blade on your table saw and you completely chewed things up. 2-there is no way those 6 slots will allow enough airflow to pass through. 3-you need to get your wedding ring resized in a bad way. 4-try to keep in mind what equipment your viewers have on hand to work with and provide alternative methods to accomplish the same task (I.e., it's more likely someone has a table saw but what about a scroll saw?). 5-great outcome, considering how badly you chewed things up with your table saw. I take my hat off to you for that one!
