A brilliant explanation for the squeegee!

I have no idea where they are being made. Since I've only been playing around for a couple years now I've been using mostly Speedball stuff. I'm sooo glad to be starting with today's technology rather than the old stuff. Though, I would probably have an even greater appreciation if I had started old school. :)

Wow ... i didn't know we could push perpendicular to the turning blade to get that curved profile ... is it safe ?

very small bites. There is another technique using an angled blade and angled fence that is safer. I just didn't know it at the time I made this video. See Woodgears.ca to see it in action.

Thank you. I promised another person I would do this video even though it really isn't that practical if you consider the price of a prebuilt squeegee. Still, if you wanted to do a show piece tool, this would be the way to do it.

you know to do a cove cut like on the store bought one you would run the stock at an angle rather than perpendicular to the blade, and angle the table saw blade over a few dergees. thats how you get the asymetrical cove cuts.

Ya know, I've seen that on Mathias Wandel (sp)'s channel aka woodengears.ca. I just have never done it that way myself. Ya want to post a demo of that? Thanks for the suggestion and if I can manage to do it without cutting my hand off I'll redo this video with the better technique.

Nope, sorry. Wood is easy. I would suggest going with GoldupUSA or another online vendor.

"sort of like having an appreciation for the table saw if you started using a hand saw and chisels or planes ;-)" Now THAT I did do!

You can get 6' strips of blade at most of the online supply houses such as silkscreensupplies These days squeegees are kind of considered consumables so I guess they don't feel a need to go all out...once again, I'm guessing here. Thanks for watching :)
