In this video, you replace only hip. It isn't necessary to replace hand and leg?

No, because the template I used only has a single hip sprite. The point here is to show that you can make a simple vector stick figure character from a single sprite. It's not the best way to make a vector stick figure character. To do this properly you would, ideally, have separate sprites for all the body parts.

So it CA5 just for animation and you need another program to create characters?

You need another program to create graphics if you want to make original characters from scratch. Which I think is a good thing. You can mash up existing characters in CA5's composer.
