I’m glad you are enjoying them rickjayne:). Those are just Fiskar’s craft shears and can be found at hobby stores or online pretty easily. They’re good up to about 20 gauge sterling and can be pushed to 18, but it will shorten their lifespan.

Hi beautiful setting. Is the height of the ss bezel that you had at 3 mm dependant on the height of the stone?

Hello Jacqueline:). I sort of arbitrarily chose that height. As long as the stone seems to stay in there securely, you should be ok. It could probably be shorter. Thanks for the nice comment!

why do you heat the whole piece up after soldering please

I use cold pickle, so from my experience, it accelerates the clean up process. This is from anecdotal experience, so may not be scientific:)
