The coasters I got had a thin film you peel back. The top of coaster is sticky. Did not need glue. Just wanted to let others know to double check. I plan to put a sealer over them when complete.

There is a film that you need to remove...I just lift half of it on the coaster. The coaster is pre-coated with a glue that the diamonds adhere to!

You don’t need glue you just Peel back the clear sheet and you can put the Diamond beads on the sticky part under the clear sheet on the coaster

You shouldn’t need glue as the coaster have a film on them, just peel it off and it’s sticky to hold the diamonds.

The sticky on these was not strong enough so I sealed mine, also I am using these outside.

The reason it's shiny is cuz it has a film over it. I think you might be gluing your diamonds on top of the film you peel off before putting the diamonds on it

So you don’t take the film off first? When you peel that off it is already sticky and you don’t need to apply the glue. I just did my first one and just love the diamonds and how much they shimmer. I do the christmas cards, so fun as well.

You're supposed to peel thee film off and the coaster already has the poured glue on it.

I also start from the outside in. Otherwise the side of your hand will stick to it and rub away the sticky, quicker, just a tip.

Does the kit not come with glue ?It says that the coaster will be sticky once the transparent film is removed

You NEVER need glue for diamond art. Now that you've glued the gems to the cover, all of your artwork will just peel off. I realize it's hard to take the clear sheet off, but there is misinformation here.

there is a film you need to peel off the back to stick on, I used my glue to stick on.

This is what happens when you don’t read the instructions. 🙄 I have some I made for outdoors and you seal it AFTER… You’re literally sticking the gems to the plastic coating which over time will become detached. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Makes the whole project a little pointless in my opinion… These kits are put together so you can just use them as they are - if it required glue, it would be provided.

Lee is correct. They are ore glued. Usea fine pin to gently lift the clear plastic cover that is on top of the coaster that protects the glue underneath

@@kathiemarie but the glue isn’t required to stick them down it comes with a self adhesive .. there are far better ways to seal for outdoor use

She's not talking about sealing it for outdoors. You can do that afterwards. She's talking about how you didn't take the plastic off the coaster to expose the glued surface. You glued directly on the the plastic so it's all likely to peel off. No biggie, but that's what they mean not sealer for the finished project. Don't need glue at all for this.

Ridiculous. You do not need glue. You are supposed to peel off the protective film. I had planned on sending this video to a friend who is doing it for the first time. But clearly you don’t know what you’re really doing. I’ll keep looking for a video to show her how you’re supposed to do it.
