Tip for the sausage crescent roll recipe: instead of rolling & filling every single crescent, you can line the bottom of a baking dish with a tube of crescent rolls. Spread the sausage mixture over. Top with the second tube of crescents and bake. So much faster and easier!

For the crescent bites, it’s super easy to roll crescent roll into a whole sheet. Or buy crescent sheet. Then spread filling on and roll up and slice into 1-2” pieces just like your making cinnamon rolls. Bake on cookie sheet until done. So good. We’ve made all variations this way. ❤️ A really good variation is jimmy dean hot sausage cooked, green and red peppers, onions, mushrooms all of them diced small and sautéed until tender. Mix everything with soft cream cheese and spread in crescent sheet. Roll n cut like cinnamon rolls. Bake on parchment lined cookie sheet until done. (I follow baking instructions on crescent package) great for a Christmas brunch or appetizer with the red n green pepper colors.

I make ahead breakfast meals for my daughter, she's a teacher with two set of twins. I like to cook and this makes their mornings easier. I make french toast, egg burritos , egg and sausage mix in a cup cake size pan with half of a biscuit on the bottom, yum, and muffins. I like the idea of the mini egg bites and will definitely make the crescents.

My family is so fussy and often times we have very different schedules that it makes so much sense for me to do this! WHY have I not done this lately?! The things my family loves are English muffin sandwiches (American cheese slice, bacon, and eggs), Muffins like yours, especially banana( I have a fantastic banana bread/muffin recipe that my family loves), pancakes/waffles, cut-up fruits like oranges, apples and pears. Oatmeal packets that are ready to go, just add water. So many ideas! Thank you Kimmy, that sure was a ton of work you did!🥰

When I do make ahead breakfasts, I usually make breakfast cookies -- I try to do lots of fiber and protein from oats and nuts and use maple syrup or honey for sweetness, but less refined sugar. Wrapped in individual servings, they keep great in the freezer! I'll definitely have to try some of these recipes. I admire how much energy you have to get so much done at one time!

I love watching your video playlists when I am doing my make-ahead and freezer meal prep days. Thank you so much. You are such a big inspiration. My kids are NOT big breakfast eaters but they take meds that make them not hungry at lunch time so I make their breakfast sandwiches ahead of time (complete with the fried eggs and cheese and meat all cooked together) then wrap them in re-usable parchment paper and put them in a food saver and pop them in the freezer. This way, I have enough sandwiches for each girl for the entire week and do not have to cook breakfasts but once a month. I learned this from you. Thank you

Love the video and the breakfast ideas, definitely going to try the crescents bites. We love breakfast sandwiches and Mom-griddles (flapjack n sausage sandwich), little ones love french toast sticks. We may not be able to afford fast food but I can make my own replicas of them and so far its been a hit. Best wishes to everyone. Cuppa tea to you.☕

We do breakfast burritos for the husband, an egg casserole dish for myself and pancakes for the kids. But those egg and potato bowls looked great, as did the muffins. I think I'll have to give those a try! Thanks for the great ideas.

When I cook potatoes like this I cut them how you do and then put them in water and bring it to a boil and boil for about 2 mins. Then I drain wells and cook them like you did. I find they have less chance of being hard and it cooks faster and they get nice and crispy.
@kmo38112 жыл бұрын
It all looks yummy. I find that tongs work really good for dunking bread in the egg mixture when making French toast. It's easy then to gently shake off the extra egg mixture before frying.

Love this! I love making broccoli leek quiche ahead of time or breakfast burritos, big batch of scrambled eggs, or breakfast casserole with eggs, sausage, cheese and potatoes. I try to do a breakfast option twice a week so I don’t have to cook so often!

i applaud all your efforts to make breakfast so delicious and convenient. We sometimes make extra and freeze the french toast. I dont know if you ever heard this, but i heard that you should just combine your muffins in the bowll and not overbeat them by using a mixer. it will keep the muffins tender.

All the food looks amazing and I bet that it was all delicious. I miss cooking for a family our house we are empty nesters. Although sometimes I think I am cooking for an army but no just two. Just started watching you maybe 4 or months ago. You are literally the first person I subscribed to :) not counting my husband, haha. But you really do motivate me. I have made the freezer French toast three times so far. My hubby eats them 4 pieces at a time so they go fast! And this morning I made a box of blueberry muffins but I added ground fall seed, applesauce and extra frozen blueberries to make them a little more nutrients. This is my first time commenting :)

So do you freeze say day 3 on and take them out the night before . How well do things taste heated back up? Example, the breads ( crescents, French toast) and potatoes? I’m just trying to figure freshness, food safety is it all good just in the fridge a full 6 days? I’m usually 3-4 days then things aren’t good anymore ? Would love to do something like this just concerned on space and freshness and reheat ? Please advise, what’s the best way yo go about ? Thank you so much.

I make a veggie frittata ...cut it into the size yu want , wrap in wax paper, freeze , remove wax paper then vacuum seal it and put back into freezer. You can remove and heat in toaster oven or micro wave... or just microwave in the package(vent it like a frozen dinner) works great. You can vary the veggies , add meat and or cheese.

I always struggle with storing muffins. After they’re cooled do you recommend freezing them immediately? I find if I put them in an airtight container on the counter they still don’t taste that great the next day. The texture is grainy. Any tips? Also how do you reheat the muffin? Do you just pack it frozen or do you defrost in fridge the night before? Is the texture wet? Thanks again for your great ideas!
