It's actually considered a valued commodity, and there are/were syrup cartels stealing and selling black market syrup. Although you aren't wrong. After the great maple war of 2019, we have had an increase in production leading to an overflowing of the product, leading to the great plains syrup run of 2020. So yes, we use gondolas now to get through the syrup canals.

haha great stuff, I did this when I was much younger. I was obcessed with firearms and I used to make guns out of cardboard. I decided to get firecrackers and insert a metal tube into a cardboard gun, light a firecracker and drop it into the barrel then quickly stuff a projectile into the barrel with great results like this. I got my projectiles to penetrate like 5 soda cans or like 4 cardboard boxes. I didn't have spare empty shell casings or a drill to go this far but I got great results as well. very creative.

Super easy way to make the firecrackers load easier into the bullet casing is to slip a long thin piece of string through the hole from the outside and let it dangle through the front of the bullet casing, then tie a quick knot around the firecracker fuse, and pull on the other end of the sting. It'll pull the fuse through with it, but be careful not to yank it too hard or you might pull the fuse out.

I'm from the USA and I have to admit you are right, it is likely we can find spent bullet casings on the sidewalk or something..usually 9mm. I just collect my own pistol and rifle brass when I leave the range to reload. I figure I paid for it, I'm keeping it lol. I made an m80 cannon from piping i got from a local hardware store. I have a kiln so i make my own cannon balls by mixing clay, sand and a little bit of cement mix. I put the mixture into a mould to make them perfectly round. I kiln them then paint them with high gloss spray paint so the balls don't vaporize on ignition.

Oh yes the amount of spent casings on the sidewalk here in the USA allowed me to invest in a sweeping machine and ammunition reloading system. I have sent 3 kids to college now on just reloads from just 2 cities!! Wow !! When the shootings get slower and i finish the bullet proofing on my sweeper. I’m expanding to more cities!!! one thing ive always noticed when you go on the cannon or reload forums is that they say do not use flash powder for cannons, im a mythbust kind of dude and dont listen to any body as i like to do my own tests, but i have asked many questions like what if you ise 10 inch thick wall steel casing and only a 1/4 inch hole and filled it with flash than would it beable to project a projectile faster than gun powder, and every single person say "it will blow up"!!!!!!! they never answer my main question, and they seem to not notice i said 10" thick walls' a nuclear bomb would have a tough time!!!!!! i dont understand some people, they think they know everything. im glad you made this video, even thow its barely any flashnpowder it goes to show these other stupid guys that the casing will not allways explode, it just depends how thick of a casing you have and what metals is used and how much you load it

you can get some primers out by getting a skinnier nail into the hole between the casing interior and primer, putting the casing bottom into the hexagonal half of a well-fitting ratchet socket, and lightly hammering the nail, until it falls through the casing/socket use a flashlight to determine whether the casing has a single centered hole or two small holes to the primer at the bottom - the latter is tougher and probably needs drilling

this reminds me of a tale I heard about some blokes on a building site in England who decided to make a cannon from steel gas pipe and some fittings, using a ball, and powder from a firework. For a lark they aimed it at the hut where the toilet was, while their mate was sat in there taking a dump. Their mate was shocked when he heard a loud BANG then a split second later the ball went through one wall, across his front, and out the shed again on the opposite side...my guess is if he was constipated to start with, he wasn't after that little episode. In Newcastle, I think was where it happened.

I made something similar but with a metal tube and I rolled a bigger firecracker into a paper and added some bbs into the front. I also made a sliding door on the bottom of the tube to load ammo. It kills birds with ease from 50 meters.
