GREAT project! Thank you! And love how you press everything ... just like my mother always insisted: press everything as you go to ensure outcome has a nice professional look!

This is a great tutorial - I love the idea of wrapping the butt joint with the tiny scrap and top stitching. Very clear instructions and demonstrations. Also, a great idea to piece the wristlet to give it interest and the bias tape maker to avoid burned fingers. Thanks, Miss Crafty Gemini! I'm a fan!

Do you need a special sewing machine to be able to sew these? It seems that some of the materials used on some keychains like this are really thick.

Hi! Um..I know nothing about sewing really and I have a question. (I actually have about a billion but one for now😊) Ironing the seams...why iron them open? Would ironing them to one side work also? (My mom was a phenomenal seamstress and she sometimes ironed the seams to one side or the other and sometimes open. At the time, I wasn't interested in sewing but I'd really like to learn now.)
@CraftyGeminiCreates8 жыл бұрын
+deeannmariee not a problem! You can do the seams either way. If you open them up it does not make it as bulky. On little projects like this, I love to iron them open so I know they won't take up as much room.
