I been using the straws from my son’s Capri Suns juice pouch, after he drinks a juice pouch I tell him to take the straw out and put it in a cup that I put next to the trash can, and at the of the week I’ll have about 10 straws in the cup. Got a whole zipp lock snack bag full of yellow straws

Why not using a shallow rig like we use in Europe for pike ? It also allow a lot more mobility than a jig head but looks a lot less complicated to rig ;)
