I’m glad you’re posting again. When my daughter was an infant I watched all your videos as she was falling asleep with me in a rocking chair. So your channel brings back some really good memories. She’s almost 11 now…time really flies.

They grow up fast. I have one that just turned 13. The time goes so fast.

Hiya Steve. Thanks for bringing us along on the project. I feel like you're including us in the thought process as opposed to presenting to us a polished version of the highlights ❤

I learn best from my mistakes so hopefully you guys can learn too! And these days I’m tired of all the polished stuff on KZbin. I hope my stuff is a bit more real. At least as real as it can be while still filming myself lol.

@@PithyBikes I learn best from your mistakes too. Much easier than learning from my own mistakes. 😆

It's great watching you work, you're quite the craftsman. Artwork on the workbench is awesome too. Thanks for the videos.

I really like your channel. The moving thing sounded very stressful and awful. Very interested in the experimental rake angle process. Would love to see the effect of various angles on the ability to ride no hands. My mountain bike is far harder to ride that way compared to a road bike. I'd love to see a, 'what I have learnt about welding' vid. I hope your channel grows like crazy. All the best, Tom in Australia.

I’ll do my best to show all the learnings! I’m also wondering about the same things!

Always interesting how you make things. Some of the vintage racing dirt track motorcycle have adjustable triple tree just if you are interested. Thanks for the video.

Still onboard and still enjoying the channel. Your channel is a slow cooker but everything that comes out is extra tasty. The length , voice over, info, and here and there some personal stories. Just perfect. Interesting to hear your findings on riding this bike in different settings. Cheers from Mark all the way from the Netherlands. (Yes, bicycle country!)

It’s been a long time since I watch one of your vids. Just want to tell you how much you inspired me to lean how to Wendy and make new stuff. Thank you very much. I bet there is a lot more gays lime me out there, inspired by you, who decided to get hans dirty. 👊😎

I got those same Knock-off vise-grip drill press hold down clamps, they are threaded metric, if you run a American die over the studd sticking out you can thread it into your normal Milling T-nuts and use it to hold things quick release in the mill - Northern Tools had those clamps for $7.50 on markdown last month and I bought a bunch!

That’s a great idea!

Can we get a updated shop tour? It looks like you have a larger lathe and mill than you used to.

Did you dezinc the nut before welding? Or maybe the inside of the tube had a coating that was impregnated in the metal.

Look at you with the copic markers and the industrial design sketching. Where/when/how did you learn how to do that?
@PithyBikes5 ай бұрын
I was watching videos of Scott Robertson and Feng Zhu for industrial design sketch. They are masters! The most important thing though is not how good the sketch looks, but what was learned from it. 👍 A concept artist once told me to never use an eraser, instead start over and draw another rather than try to fix a sketch. You’ll learn faster that way!

Sorry to hear about the move. I am very inspired by your videos. How did you learn all of this?

The internet! Maybe I’ll chat about it in a future video.

It would have been so much easier to just fit horizontal dropouts.
@chrisl26565 ай бұрын
Did you go for the top hinge over sliding dropouts because you wanted a bigger range of adjustment?
@PithyBikes5 ай бұрын
Yes that’s right. And I thought maybe it might be a little easier to change the rake with a screw mechanism.
@chrisl26565 ай бұрын
Having to adjust both dropouts identically every time you wanted a change would certainly have been inconvenient.

aren't you going to scrape your pedals if you angle the fork too much ?
@PithyBikes5 ай бұрын
That will indeed happen! As recommended by a commenter, I plan to make the axle to crown height adjustable.

What do you put on your band saw blade?
@PithyBikes5 ай бұрын
It’s a saw blade stick lubricant. I forget the brand name but there are many different brands that do the same thing.
