I have done a similar trick to your use of acetate. But I use a gridded vinyl sheet meant for making quilting patterns. (You can get them at least at fabric stores, though I'm sure there are many places online as well.) It's basically a slightly-frosted plastic, so I can see through it to check placement when I test my stamping, but it also has the 1/4" grid, so it's helpful for making sure I have things straight. Plus, it's really sturdy, without being too thick, & the grid lines don't rub off. I cut a piece to A2 size, & marked lines down the center in each direction with a black permanent marker, so I also know where my centers are on my card. If my panel is not A2 size, the grid lines still help me check if something I want centered actually is in the middle. And the plastic wipes clean. If I use a more permanent ink (StazOn, archival, etc.), I can use rubbing alcohol & a cloth to clean it off. If that cleans off my marker center lines, I just redraw them. Really handy to have, & not very expensive at all, considering you usually get a few letter-size sheets in a package. One of the sheets in the pack I got even has no grid lines, so I could have that as an option as well. Anyway, just an additional tip. Thank you for sharing your cute cards, Carly!
