Lol, I was just thinking…. ‘Hmm, this lady must come from the same state in USA as Laura Bassen’…. And lo’, it IS Laura Bassen. I do love these scene sets. I’m totally late to the party but I’m hoping it’s not too late for me to grab these in UK 🤞.

This is so cute! I never thought to use glossy accents over colored pencil or marker! How do you keep the black ink splatter from smearing or sticking to the glossy accents?

Hi. Thank you for this tutorial : it is very clear / perfect (not like my english, I'm french !). Can you tell me the size of the spin you used make the macanism turn (in the video time-line 9:30). Is it possible to I use any material ? For example, can I take a wooden skewer (which I cut very small ! )

Neat trick for cutting the metal parts holding dies together. My method is just to hold the dies & my wire cutter into a trash can. That way, the metal bits go directly into the trash. Yes, you can protect your eyes with safety goggles, but if one of those pieces gets on the floor & then into your (or someone else's) foot - ouch! Your way is good, too, of course, & one I've never seen. :) I do the same sort of thing with putting the tape around the point when I have to throw away nails, screws, pins, etc., so they don't poke through the trash bag & maybe come out entirely. I love how your card came out, Carly! Those colors are just so bright & happy - perfect for butterflies. Thank you for sharing. Take care, & I hope you have a fantastic day! :)

😂I promise there was no real technique to the painting! I just tried to paint in rainbow order so most butterflies have more than one color of Distress Ink like Picked Raspberry ink mixing with Carved Pumpkin and the Carved Pumpkin and Mustard Seed, etc.
