Something to check if you're having scale problems: I work for a company where one of the many things we make is candles. We've had scale problems when stuff gets up under the top plate of the scale (for instance we pick it up to move it with wax on our fingers and it gets up into the crevices there). It prevents the top of the scale from moving properly as it's intended to do, and you get bizarre discrepancies. Your scale may legitimately be messed up, but try turning it over and cleaning whatever you can reach up under the weighing plate before you give up and chuck it in the bin. :)

Good Afternoon, i would like to see the other method of sanding the vessals. I really want to learn to make my own vessals. Can you tell me how many times i woild need to replace the sand disk and the pottery well doesnt have to be replace correct? Thank you so much for always sharing. Don't know if i ever told you thank for sharing the lavender driftwood and sea mineral. 2nd best seller.

Thanks for letting me know! You won’t need to replace that disc much. It is made from diamond sanding bits which are extremely hard and durable. I have not had to replace mine in the several years I have had it.

It will have a slight vertical and horizontal patterning but I actually find it pleasant. It reminds me of canvas.

I might have missed it in the video, but how long after making the vessels do you wait before you sand them? Also, how long after sanding do you wait before you seal?

You can sand right after demolding if you want. I usually wait a few days just because it works better for me and my schedule and I like to batch everything. Sealing should wait at least 5-7 days :)

Hi Stella! I use a 4x6x6 black gloss box from Uline and crinkle wrap as well as crinkle paper within a regular box. Hope this helps!
