Per hive and honey's description of their SP487 wax it is a no soy, vegetable wax. It says it contains no paraffin or palm so it's interesting to try and understand if it doesn't have soy either what vegetable wax are they're using Considering this is a harder wax with a higher melt point

The vessels are beautiful!!! I love the wax from hive and honey too. Thanks for sharing Allen. 💜

Where did you get your hydrostone? Loved the video
@earthglow8 ай бұрын
Hi Denise! Thank you! I actually ordered it from some pottery shop and paid a TON of shipping (the 50 lb bag was close to $90 for reference and the material costs about half this without the shipping). Looking for a more local supplier!!

Is it hydra stone supposed to do the dry lake bed method when mixing the water and powder? Perhaps that's why it was harder to mix?

Glad you enjoyed this one! Yes, I place warning labels with the net weight on the bottom of the vessel.

What do you think about the melter you were sent? It didn’t get such great reviews, so it’s a good thing you didn’t buy it? There are temp maintaining issues, just stopped working, one person shared a video showing the top of her melter which did look as if it had blown wax from the bottom and out of the top, covering her other tall melter and everything within the vicinity of her melter (kitchen counter, floor, everywhere). She felt there must have been an air bubble that formed at the bottom. It was a mess! Since your warning of wax burning in your Digiboil, I’m not sure what to choose? Were you using beeswax then? Do you feel the beeswax may have contributed to the burning as opposed to other waxes like soy or coconut? Your vessels are absolutely lovely! Have you checked Mad Micas? I appreciate their company mission and philosophy so very much. They also have glitter. As I understand it, every product they sell is vegan and can be used to make face products like eyeshadow in addition to soap. Much love to you and your family!🙏🏻❤️🕊️

Pour your water and add the hydrostone to the water and wait for 5 mins or until it has a cracking look on the top. Then mix. Trust me.

How cost effective is making hydrostone vessels!? I just heard about them and have been interested in making my own vessels. I saw a 10lb bag of hydrostone but how many vessels do you get out of a 10 lb bag? I can’t seem to find that anywhere. I love your vessels!
@earthglow5 ай бұрын
Totally depends on the size of your vessels and your process! I love making them personally.

Hi hydro stone and gypsum (pop) both are same?
@earthglow3 ай бұрын
Hydrostone is a blend that contains a large amount of gypsum in that blend but they are not interchangeable. Hydrostone has an extremely high psi and heat resistance which makes it suitable for candle making.
