Thank you so much. I have used reetha to wash clothes by hand and in machine for a long time but have never been able to make an effective shampoo with reetha water before. I could only make a paste with reetha powder (and shikakai) and only use it after oiling hair, very time consuming way to shampoo, so have used mostly soap and hair mask as "special treat". With no oil before and just the reetha water, my hair always felt like straw afterwards, and my scalp wasn't as clean as I wanted. I tried your recipe with the glycerin and was able to give my scalp a good scrub without matting all my hairs and this with no oil before.. I didn't even have a thickener yet (just ordered some guar gum) but couldn't wait for it to arrive to try your shampoo. I also made the reetha water + vinegar recipe for floor and find it very effective. Lovely video and recipes. Many, many thanks.

Some people use soap nut to Wash their clothes. I use soap nut fire my dark clothes. I hand wash them in my home. I throw almost boiling water into the bucket then i throw my clothes with some soapnut liquid previously boil and let it soak 1/2 an hour. Then i wash them. I love it because detergents are bad for me. They irritate my lungs

Hi. Basically, I just boil the soapnuts according to the instructions. Then I wash my clothes with a little bit of this boiled liquid and some white vinager. In other words I pour boiling water in a bucket with 1 oz of soapnut and 1 oz of vinager. I also use small washboard I bought on Amazon for less than $10 which It is small and made of plastic. Then I rinse my clothes. By the way, I also do whites but wash then right away because soapnuts stain the white clothes if leave them for too long. After that if it is winter I use a spinner. And then sun dried. And in summer I do not use the spinner. Since i hand wash the clothes come cleaner than in a washing machine. I love it.

I think adding common salt would add sodium contents. Excess sodium is inorganic water pollutants. Without salt would also works well

Put a handful of soap nuts in a piece of strong cloth and make a knot of it. Drop it in along with the clothes. Add in some baking soda if clothes are very dirty. Add in some liquid made of mint leaves soaked overnight in vinegar, it acts as fabric softener and removes the bitter smell of soapnut. Open the cloth knot after the clothes are done, and check for any reusable soapnuts.
