I'm not sure how to help you (as I barely know how myself) but what I did was I watched tutorials both how tos and tips and tricks. So I guess if I'm going to give any advice it's this: I made a rule for myself that I had to watch at least 30 videos on how to make feet paws before buying anything. I'd segest the same

I think you're talking about the EVA foam. I bought mine from Home Depot (It was $20 for 6 pads, each pad being big enough for 2 feet paw prints). I've also seen it available on Amazon and other stores

I started by watching every video I could find on how other people made their feet paws. Then I picked a tutorial and copied it to the best of my abilities (I believe it was skyehighstudios). It didn't do well the first time, and I had to start over, but I kept pushing and changing it as I went till it looked how I wanted it too. Hope this helps!

What thickness eva foam would you recommend for the soles?

I used 1cm (~1/2 inch). I have only ever made this one feet paws, so I can't testify if it's the best. It seems to be working out pretty well so far though :)

I used polyester foam for most of it (it is the white foam) and eva foam for the pad part (black stuff). Hope this helps!

I made it myself (although I based it off of a Skyhigh Studios video) One thing I recommend is to buy your foam from Amazon and not a craft store (it's 75% cheaper on Amazon)

hey, i’m a younger fur and i’m using random paw slippers from amazon for my fursuit cosplay. i know that sounds like a bad idea but i don’t have enough time to make feet paws. i’m going to a convention (it’s not a furry convention) but there is a lot of cosplayers and i need some substitute for the bottom of the slippers because i don’t really want them to get gross. is there anything i can use like a rubber cover of some sorts on the bottom? ❤

@@yublydubly I'm a newer cosplayer myself, so I might not have the best answers, but I would recommend going to your local craft store and buying a thin piece of foam (it'll cost $5 at most), then cut it in the shape of the shoe and apply a small amount of hot glue (or other type of glue). You want to be able to remove it in the future when you need too. Hope this helps!

I think it could be modified fairly easily, think being the key word though. However, this being the first foam pattern I have ever made, it is not very good.

My pattern was heavily based on @Skyehigh pattern, so I'd recommend getting hers instead. You were by no means nosy, thank you for asking! And good luck on the fursuit!!

It's called EVA foam. The best place to find it is Amazon I believe. I bought mine from home Depot because it was faster, but I did pay 5ish more dollars. DON'T BUY ANY FOAM FROM CRAFT STORES. They'll rip you off

This is my first fursuit so I don't know much. I got my foam from Hobby Lobby and EVA foam from Home Depot. It was 80$ total. I Have heard that brand stores over price their foam so I don't know if I can recommend. It's good quality tho

(Assuming you mean replacing the shoes with socks) keep in mind that I have very close to no experience with fursuit making, this being the first one and all, but I can't see why socks wouldn't work. I do think it'd be less structurally sound and probably uncomfortable. If you're going to spend the required time making a fursuit, I'd recommend making the investment for comfortable shoes.

Good question. Preferably you start making your fursuit after you've stopped growing, but if not, you put shoes in that are bigger so you can grow into them. If it's too late, I guess you can only rip the feet paws apart and put new shoes in.
