I think this tutorial is awesome! I think some suggestions I would have for anybody with a slightly bigger budget would be to go at the process like a real fur suit in the beginning. This would possibly include having a a Flotex foam base (using the little yoga Matt pieces that you usually see in fursuits) and using contact cement (basically really strong glue) to glue a shoe on top of the base. There are other tutorial that explain that process. I think it would make the shoes last a lot longer because if something happens to the paper part of the leg (gets dirty, rips,) then you could just fix up only the paper bits and not the base. Also, you’re able to wash foam, so if you were to bring this to a con or wear it out a lot, you could wash the bottom with all the nasty stuff, sanitize the shoe, and then sanitize the papery bits. HOWEVER, that would kind of only work if the paper leg was detachable from the base, so if you could figure out how to do that then you’re golden!!

I only just finished duct taping the first foot/paw, and it’s been 2 hours…. Edit 1: FIRST UPDATEEE! Both of the paws are on the cardboard and I just finished cutting the curve in the paper thingy on the ankle spot! Current hour of work: hour 3 Edit 2: 2cnd update! Just put the strap over by the toes. Current hour of work: 5 Edit 3: 3rd update…. Just finished the tut….. I might need to add reinforcements on the inside, concidering I used notepad paper 😭😭✋. I’m also gonna try to make paper fur for it too! Current hour of work: 6.5 Edit 4: pop missed the end part……. Brb
