This was so helpful. I have been struggling because everything goes great until the day I have to cook it. I literally have little to no eyes. I'm excited about your next video. I definitely need to add more water. My cousin used to make injera for my aunt's shop but has been struggling to help me over Facetime. I keep killing my batter somehow. Thank you so much!

Ethiopian here, who makes injera bread every week. One suggestion : hand mixing is way easier to avoid clumps

How do you prepare the first batch of ersho if you don't have someone to get some from?

I have a video on here. Basically put the injera and water in a tight sealed jar and let it ferment for about 2 weeks similar to sour dough bread starter. I hope that helps ◡̈

am just back from Ethiopia and Eritrea after 6 months holiday and here I am orady craving for enjera so hard to make it at home after all these months eating out at family’s house even buy it here we go again the struggle start to make it I feel so lazy 😂

⁠@@iniblahyou forgot to say the flour is made from teff. Teff is a tiny little seed (AKA seed grain). I used to boil teff seeds (not the flour) and make a breakfast porridge. It had a bit of a chocolate taste to it. It is high iron.
