Your video helped me finally understand why sometimes I can't "slice". Thank you so much! Very, very helpful!
@TheShawnMosch7 ай бұрын
this makes me SO HAPPY since there are so many videos out there about using Slice, so I am sure you have watched others . . . but there was that extra bit of information in mine that finally helped you! Would you do me a favor? Please tell other Cricut owners that I give information that helps people finally understand the "why" on topics. I feel that if we could all understand the "why" then that would make everything so much easier!

@TheShawnMosch Жыл бұрын
Great question! Personally I like to just make one design on the Canvas space. This helps to keep the file size down. Then when you click Make It there is a spot on that screen where you can change the number of copies you want it to make . . . upper left corner

Hi Dear, nice video, am so new to this. So since I add a text and at the same time slice for the two holes, do i put the pen and the part that cuts at the same time or do i do the text fist and then remove it from the machine and add the cutting device
@TheShawnMosch Жыл бұрын
That would depend on which machine you have. I have the machine that only has one slot to hold things, so I have to switch them. If you have the machine with two slots you would put the blade in B and the pen in A.
@flair4crafts894 Жыл бұрын
@@TheShawnMosch I realized later on that you can use both the pen and the blade, but during the design process some things can be selected as basic cut and others as pen then attach everything and make it. Had to watch several videos to finally understand the machine more a bit. Mine is a maker

Love this basic jewelry card. I am wondering if there is a way of adding my logo on this same card before cutting. I have been experimenting but no luck so far. 😊
@TheShawnMosch2 жыл бұрын
You could flatten your logo to the card, and then your home printer would print the logo and the Cricut would cut the card

Thank you so much Shawn for your Video. Like my colleague down below commented, I was wondering if we can add an image or text to the card, print, and then cut the line for the placement and the holes to hold the earrings. I see your reply saying that we would need to flatten the logo, but would we flatten the logo to the hole design (including the lines and the holes for earrings) or just flatten the image/logo to the card shape?
@TheShawnMosch Жыл бұрын
As long as the holes for the card are sliced out (so you can see through the openings for those holes) you can flatten the logo to the whole card shape. I might have to do a follow up video on this!
@larissafourtunia4194 Жыл бұрын
@@TheShawnMosch The holes are sliced, but the lines for the placement of necklaces for example are not. So when I add an image and text and send it to print then cut, cricut is printing the lines but not cutting it. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, please help! hahaha
@TheShawnMosch Жыл бұрын
@@larissafourtunia4194 I forgot about the lines for the necklace when I gave you those directions! Add those last and attach those to the card. If you Flatten the whole thing with those lines on it, then yes, you are telling the Cricut you want those lines printed and not cut. By adding them last, and Attaching them to the design they will still be cut lines.

@@TheShawnMosch Thank you, thank you, thank you! It worked! it has been 48 hours I'm trying to figure it out what I was doing wrong, cricut was not cutting the line, or was cutting all the project, including the letters/image! You're awsome!

I have been trying all day to do this but haven't got a clue because I can't slice for some reason
@TheShawnMosch3 жыл бұрын
the most important thing to remember with Slice is you can only have two things selected for it to work. Look at your layers panel, on the right hand side on the computer version and make sure you only have two things selected

There really is no one size fits all answer for this. They can be any size you would like. I would make one and see if the size works for your jewelry pieces and then go from there.
