I did the pumpkin for Halloween. The glue is pretty easy to use. For the house I would suggest as Katie said doing one small portion at a time. For the pumpkin I put it in a bowl and worked on bits at a time so I could keep the glue area relatively flat. The house should be way easier to do this. The kit has a brush so I would put on smears of glue and then brush it out into a layer. I did find that sometimes I needed to do 2 coats but the pumpkin surface had ridges. The glue does not dry out. It stays gummy. Dries in about 5-10 minutes to the gummy texture so you can stick the drills on. I would suggest sealing it when done so dust and pet hair doesn't stick to the finished piece.

Hi Katie! Thx 4 sharing! I'm actually doing a Make Market kit currently for Drills & Chills...."The Lovers" and I have really enjoyed working on this kit. The one thing I have noticed is that the drills arent as shiny as like DAC or Diamond Dotz in my opinion. They still shine but not as much. I do like the Make Market Brand and will most likley be buying a Holiday kit or two. I love the Holiday Cards so I'll be looking at those too. Thx 4 sharing!🎄☃️❄️

It's not too early for Christmas items because they do sell out quickly and you need to grab things when available. I have seen Make Market kits but I was unsure of the quality of them. Thank you for sharing which items you got, along with the quality of them!

I saw your video and ran out to look at what they had at my store - the Christmas diamond art was on display at the end of the isle. I’m very new to diamond painting so bought the sparkly pens 🖊️ and assortment of tips. I tried them and like them, but anything is better than what typically comes with kits which are plastic tips. I really wanted one of these, especially one with the red pen..I do not have a Michaels any where near me, so I went online, saw those pens and the paintings..but to my dismay..here in Florida..you have to have a minimum of $49 to ship...as you said..I am on an actually no buy..but I thought I could squeeze ar least one of these great deals...well..maybe its fate😆..no buy means no buy!!!🤗

Hi Katie. I'm working on the pumpkin. The glue is ready at about 5 minutes, a little longer if it's thick. You do apply the glue in small areas at a time. There are two reasons. First, the glue has a limited working time. I think it is about 5 hrs. More importantly, there is no cover paper to keep the glue area clean. You have to handle it a lot when applying the drills. Also, the pumpkin did come with button batteries installed. I like the new way. Aaa's are easy to find, cheaper and should last longer.

For anyone who's wondering, the threaded (screw on) pens from make market are NOT compatible with the dac threaded tips. The screw on part of the dac ones are much wider than the make market ones. Not sure about anything from amazon, though

I think the drills are acrylic too. One thing I have noticed with acrylic drills vs resin drills is that acrylic drills tend to have a higher frequency and greater difference in the height of the drills. But they aren't unworkable.

I just purchased a few Make Market Christmas items. While opening the drill pen set, I found a dead cockroach under the red pen. DISGUSTING! I guess I should be grateful that it doesn't happen more often.
