Interesting… to be honest I have enough trouble finding items I want for myself let alone trying to find something someone else would want, but I have to admire your drive.

You don’t have to resell Renee, this is about how to understand what’s lurking at Goodwills should someone want to resell. There is literally money sitting on the shelves most times. I’m bringing awareness especially in this time we are in to help people understand that they too can find a gem and turn it for a profit should they want to. Thanks for watching today! 😄

Hi Liz, I would say this video was awesome, I never seen a video like it, I enjoyed it so much. Finding items in Goodwill and trying to collect them on the web is a task. They're all beautiful finds and I imagined, You going home with some of them and showing it in your haul. Great Job!

Thank you for sharing I live in California and the stores around my area are ridiculously expensive for being a thrift store. They already know what resellers look for and everything gets over priced. I always asked them why is so much they told me that before things get marked someone goes online and checks the price and that’s the way things are getting priced.
@LizBesanson3 жыл бұрын
Yes they do that here too but my town is so small it’s not a big city so it something works out to find things easier not all the time.

Love the shopping today. Love your Channel. I understand you are able to find the pieces and they are online for sale. How do you find someone who's going to pay for that price?
@LizBesanson3 жыл бұрын
Thank you Cheryl! If it’s a collectible there are buyers online scouting for those treasures. Most days are better than others. It’s mainly timing. Keep at it and try several platforms

I look at the actual sold price and how many are listed to see what the actual value is. My philosophy is the worth is what is in my bank account!! The only thing is I end up keeping so many things I buy for myself. lol.
@LizBesanson3 жыл бұрын
I said in my last video, things are worth whatever someone is willing to pay LOL!! I too keep some pieces. I didn’t buy anything here but used this video to show viewers that treasure are hiding in goodwills or even charity shops, flea markets, etc. but I totally get what you mean! ☺️
@cavelleardiel3 жыл бұрын
@@LizBesanson I agree and what is also trending affects price. I volunteer at a small thrift store once a week and we are constantly checking comps to price items. But we also factor in the area and our cultural diversity as to what would actually sell and for what price. It is pretty dangerous for me though as I tell myself each time I go.....don't buy anything!!

The cash register sound was so loud I almost turned off the video, but I loved the content so I pushed through it. You have a very soft voice so I have to turn up the sound. Could you work on balancing the sound levels? Because I like your content.

I mentioned several in the talking bit in the beginning of the video. Also this video was to show you what’s at Goodwills and the profit you can earn from some of the collectibles that are on the shelves. The video was not about how to sell vintage items only an indication that you can should you want to.. There’s undiscovered gems at the thrift stores and that was the basis of this video. I basically do Goodwill hauls and home styling on this channel. I appreciate you watching! 🤗

I'm just starting out. In order of ease which platform should I start with? Easy, Ebay? Any help is much appreciated.
@trisha33383 жыл бұрын
@Nancy O'Donnell I used to sell on eBay but I didn't like the format. I've never sold anything on Etsy, but I understand it can be difficult. Personally, I like Poshmark. I am in my '70s and am very new to this, but it has been fairly successful for me! I only sell clothes and accessories, so I imagine decor items might be a little more difficult, especially for packaging, but the buyer pays for shipping. Good luck!
@LizBesanson3 жыл бұрын
Hi ladies! I agree that some platforms are better than others. With EBay, you’re given more options to auction off an items between 3-10 days or opt for “buy it now” or “make an offer”. These options are not on other platforms. All platforms take a fee to be aware of. With Poshmark, you lost an item and someone can make you an offer. Typically people low ball often so it will take some patience with the public lol! I’ve done EBay personally for over 20 years. It’s straight forward, the fees are like everyone else’s and shipping is all paid for by customer on the app. Unless you want to include free ship.. I will aim to do a follow up video on the process of selling. This is a very broad topic.
