Thank you!! This worked for my old Brother MFC-465CN which Brother no longer supports in Windows 11. I used the last option "Add printer with manual settings," and Windows did find a driver for it to install. Thanks again!

Very nice video. I have a Designjet 500 plotter 42", Win11, x64 I make it to the install printer from your video, however when the Install Printer driver window opens there is no way for loading drivers. It could not find the plotter they stopped supporting in 2008 and with Win10. Do you have a printout of the instructions in the video? HP no longer has software or drivers so I am digging..... Any help is appreciated.

If you have your printer connected via usb, instead of choosing port 1, scroll down until it says USB and then click next and choose windows update. It takes a while to load the list of printers, but it should list yours.

Hi buddy, then you need to find a universal driver which is compatible with your printer. If you experiencing a problem finding it, you may write me the brand and model completely with your windows version and architecture (32/64) bit system , i may try to find one for you.

I am trying to add my HP Deskjet F4200 to WIndows 11. When I RUN: shell:PrintersFolder I only see Microsoft Print to PDF and OneNote (Desktop) - not any of the other 5 that show up on your video. When I go to Add Printer (and my printer is powered on and connected via USB) it searches for a while and then says No devices found. The printer and cable are good as I still use it on another Windows 10 system. Thanks!

Instead of port 1, choose USB (your printer should be connected to the computer with a usb cable) then click next, windows update, wait for the list of printers to load (it takes some time) then find your printer model.

Hi there plz go to this official page of your printer in the below. And be sure that you select your operating system correctly. I mean the version of windows and the architecture (32 bit or 64 bit) If you want to find out which is correct? You can eight click on " my computer" ~ properties ~ at the end of the Operating system description, there is written down that which kind it is 32 or 64 bit. Good video but sadly none of it worked. I made sure my printer USB/Pwr cable were plugged in and ran "Driver Booster" from IObit labs (they also make a great system cleaner called Advanced System Care) and it said my printer driver was out of date and updated it. Rebooted computer and tried to print and no problem at all. Sadly, I lost all the awesome scanner capabilities but am able to print and make copies and my remaining 10 cartridges of ink won't be wasted.

Usually those kinds drivers are universal and not designed for an special series of printers like as the producers themselves. You need to find the special drivers from the support pages of the brands website. Write me down the exact model name to see uf I can help you or not.

@@learnearn4585 Thank you for your generosity...in the future if I need them I will reach out to you. As I mentioned the IObit driver program located the drivers as the website didn't have the drivers and older drivers from Win 7 to Win XP that were listed...none of them worked. I had no problems using Win 7 drivers when I had Win 10 but Win 11 is a steaming hunk of crap. If you know a way to "enable" the loudness setting for a 5.1 speaker system though I would be of the utmost appreciative. "Loudness" amplified setting only works with generic Realtek drivers but those drivers only support up to a 2.1 speaker system. Thanks again!!!

It is windows11, if you use win 10, then go to device manager, by right clicking on this pc, properties, device manager, printers, Or On windows icon write down devices and printers, then enter the wizard and do the same as my video. Plz like, comment and share the channel content

Grrr! For the usual reasons, Micro$oft doing shenanigans again… 😒 The printer driver which Windows 11 installs by default (at least for an HP CP1515n or other old printers) is sh1te, it does not have all the options which the Windows 10 or legacy printer drivers from HP have and most importantly, it does not have an option to define custom paper sizes!!! 🤦🤬🙄 It's hard not to be judgmental with Micro$oft, really hard.

I guess, you might go to the printer ip address which is defined on the network eg. 192.168.x.x then hp opens all the manual definitions for you. The point of this video is to be able to use any printer than you were not able to!!

Please watch all of the video and if it didnt work, then select install manually, then select the brand of your printer and after all try to update the win 10 pr 11. It will find the proper driver for you If it is Hp or Canon you can download and install the main software from the official website then it will install the pre needed file and drivers, then try to fo as shown in the video. Many people have done it successfuly
