Very interesting how you feed and race in USA. I'm on the Central Coast in Australia... I have successful for many years since I started with pigeons in 1953.(364 club race wins).... I haven't fed barley in 16 years. And very little additives in the water... I have been in athletics most of my life too and I believe this has given me an advantage to train my birds. I saw in your cage signs of moisture with dark stains in many areas... also long grass around all cages.. I keep my lawn and gardens neat and the cage painted white .. Frank.. 21:29 21:29

hi sir frank ! quick question ,birds are doing great with your system but just wondering how come you give them fats seeds on shipping day? some members in my club give fats and oily seeds on thursday (day before shipping) as it metabolizes in their body within 48 hours for it to be useful. wouldn’t that be useless if fed on the shipping day ? would like to have your feedback ! and waiting for Yb race vids 😬 much love from Vancouver,BC
@FrankMcLaughlinPigeons5 ай бұрын
I only give fat seeds for races where they fly more than 6 hours. Under six hours they eat the barley mix day of shipping. Body weight is much more important than anything else. I also on many occasions I only feed fat seeds day of shipping and they the eat on the truck for one day. If they race looks tough with an over night ship I do give fat seeds on shipping day. The fat will be used the next day. It is digested and in their system.
