If not for all the legal right women have, contraception, and them knowing when they can or can’t get pregnant you’d have a point. However when you ignore these facts and go “Men have to be accountable” it’s null and void cause they can’t control or even have the info on when the woman is ovulating nor do they get a say in abortion or legal custody. Not to mention all the legal detriments in marriage and against men, and the man being married won’t stop women from cheating and having another man’s kids an pinning it on the husband which is also factually proven.

Shame definitely should make a comeback. There were no gender reveal parties back in the day. No baby showers. Young black women absolutely knew what the consequences were for having a child out of wedlock. That brought shame on the family. She had to stay with a relative out of state. Black families didn't play back then.

Now if the community brings back shaming, will there be rules and regulations to the shaming. What are the shaming parameters? Will the girl that got pregnant the only one that wear the scarlet letters, will her immediate family be shamed as well? Will the boy and his family be shamed? Will the scarlet letter girl be able to obtain redemption or atonement from the community eventually? How long will the girl be shamed? I'm just curious.

All you have to do is look at other cultures to see how shame affects the person and their families. Look at Asian culture. Muslim culture. Some of these cultures you could get deleted for bringing shame upon your family's name. MEN AND WOMEN. The lazy, unaccomplished son gets shamed and disowned. The promiscuous daughter who gets pregnant out of wedlock gets shamed. The immediate family is known for having a useless son and a whore daughter. People will scrutinize the parents of both for their parenting having resulted in those outcomes. And it kept people in line. The fear of bringing shame upon not only yourself, but your family as well.
