Thank you Lyndsey. I lost everything, three sons and my homestead. The Lord has replaced so much and given to me an opportunity to homestead again,to raise three more boys (yes apparently I am destined to mother boys), and to have a husband who provides and is growing in Christ alongside me. We're both musicians, but because of recent trauma and another great loss we have not been playing music and instead are rebuilding our home and farm ..and our faith in Christ. To see you making soap, I was resistant to watch this one. I am in the process of repenting from bitterness, and being willing to open my heart and hands to make soap, to raise boys and love a husband again. To be willing. And even willing to purchase from other women who are doing similarly. This video , like others you have, are softening my heart and helping me to cry and to heal and to feel a part of a community again. It's more than just soap.. it's the tender gentle love of Christ flowing through you and your family. Thank you for taking time to be brave enough to be in front of the camera , and to speak life and love in Christ.

I've been watching your vlogs over and over again the past two weeks and it's encouraged me more than you know

Lindsey!!!! NEVER TRUST THOSE PLASTIC HANDLES ON THE WHITE BUCKETS ! 🥰❤️💕They are notorious for breaking unexpectedly! You don’t want a lye accident. Maybe replace with a chain or something? We love you and your family and the videos you make for us! GOD BLESS YOU ❤️
@Anonymous-km5pj3 жыл бұрын
so glad you posted this point with emphasis it deserves! Use them every day around the farm, only buy w metal handles now b/c you never know when those plastic handles will snap and the walkway gets all your precious compost tea, not to lye, right? lol. Sorry, bad joke. Grab and lift those at rim w 2 hands unless you're carrying a bucket of wood shavings or feathers.... God bless!!!

Crafts on the Cheap I really like this solution cause it’s affordable., simple and something the boys could help with....... just explain that the ropes and knots have to be absolutely reliable because the consequences could be dire. Always monitor the ropes for wear and tear dry rot etc.🥰👍🏼 a great teachable moment for vigilance and prudence!!!

Such a wonderful video about your home industry. You are an excellent example of a Proverbs 31 woman. So many “home industries” that can come from a family. Such as baking & selling bread & pastries. Lindsey personifies that following Jesus is not about "religion", it's about following Jesus, learning His ways; love, joy, peace, His teachings in the bible, and then walking in His footsteps. It's allowing Jesus to redeem us from our sin, and turning from our ways and accepting His ways as a holy alternative. Lindsey is a blessing to me and a treasure to behold!

I loved watching your soap making. It brought back memories of my Dad & Mom making lye soap. They made their own lye. I do wish I had gotten their recipe. I know that they burned scrape paper & used the ashes & bacon grease to make the lye. Many times they used the ashes from my sister's fireplace. At that time I thought it was crass & ridiculous when we could just go to the store & buy our soap. Mom always said it reduced the episodes of her eczema on her hands & legs.

You stopped at a tall plant with tiny yellow flowers and you picked a few of the flowers for a soap recipe you were going to make. And here you are today making this video to show us how you make your soaps. Thank you very much!

I really enjoyed watching your soap making video! We also make cold process soap, but slightly different ingredients and method. As careful as I am, every time I have made soap I seem to get a tiny speck of lye on my hand. We keep plain vinegar close by which neutralizes it immediately. We cover everything with heavy quilts for 24 hours for the soap to cool slowly so that the oils don't separate. I love the different natural colorants that you use! So far, we have only tried turmeric, paprika, and cinnamon. as always, I am blessed and inspired by your tutorials!
