Very interesting. I was getting sick and tired of normal reverbs sounding too plain and tasteless. Now I can try these and maybe subtly layer it with a normal reverb just to get some unique flavour out of it. Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge Ned

Yes I’ve also seen similar in research. The problem I found with doing this in Max and Ableton during my attempts to make a decent reverb was that I struggled to find a way to interpolate between various delay times whilst maintaining a prime number structure but it’s been a while since I last tried so might try again. It’s not that it’s not possible or difficult to do, just I couldn’t work it out.

I love to make custom crap . That's my jam . I still use reason 5 by the way . But i do try to move on to waveform 11, mulab 7, MAX 8 and bitwig and also mixcraft 9 . So far only mulab and waveform a running okay on my old laptop .

I’ve used soundflower but now I can use my mixer. By the way this wasn’t a live stream. It was a premier.

I think SoundFlower isn't supported anymore. Check out BlackHole! It works great for me. You can basically route audio anyway you want, I've even routed my mic to fl before I send it to discord so I can put effects on my voice when I talk to my friends, etc.

I'd say yes, with varying results (Corpus might be too 'tonal' for a proper IR). Just send a tiny whitenoise-blip or an impulse through your homemade reverb, and record the results.
