Convolution is commutative so that is a nice example of this property. If you use a sampler with different reverb IRs you can now dynamically apply the reverbs. I assume the sample playing into the reverb is the unit impulse response. If you use a synthesizer that approximates that unit impulse response you should be able to create some interesting phasing and chorus effects
