As often as I make this I always have to come here for a refresher first. Hope you have a great 2023, Allie.

Have been a Russian Spiral advocate for a long time but this is the first time I have seen this video and the wonderful finishing of the "triangles" at the clasp end. Thank you for this very creative tutorial.

This was so easy to do. Also, a great way to use bugle beads and making something stunning....as is everything I have tried with your tutorials. Always easy to follow and learn. I do hope you do a multiple color video of this style as it would help 'us' visual learners.Thank you.

Evy that does happen sometimes, especially with non-Miyuki bugles. You can try putting 15/0 seed beads at every junction to hopefully lessen the rub angle.

This design is popular for summer. So I'll be making red-white-blue-gold and beach colors. This does work up easily. For my sister since it bothers the underside of her wrist I make a flat "ladder" of bugles and seed beads, do spiral across the top and ladder again going down to the clasp. Can you tell I really like this pattern?

Lovely tutorial and thank you so much for that. I made a bracelet and it came out very well.. I like all your work. I don't know how to show my work to you. Though I did not use the same size of beads, it came out very well and I am very happy. Love Mahalakshmi

I am a little late to the party, but I love this bracelet and am trying to make it. I am having trouble with the "pull tight". Maybe the bugles I am using are too big (7 mm) but that's what I had on hand. I am also having to keep the project around a dowel even after about 12 rows. Any hints for keeping a tight tension? And for going back to tighten what I have done so far? Thanks for the terrific videos. I love them!

Can you do a video using 2 colors as I didn't quite understand what you said on how to use 2 colors and the sequence.Thank You.

Perhaps someday we will try to do that, but currently we have a queue of about 75 tutorials to be done, so it will probably be some time.

I love this bracelet tutorial. I am ready to start, but I did not hear or see how many feet of thread to use to make a 7 or 8 inch bracelet? Can you tell me how much thread to use approx? Thank you.
@Potomacbeadco11 жыл бұрын
You probably need about 6 feet, but you can always use less and then add thread (we have a video on adding thread). Thanks!

what did you do tie off with such a short tail? Also, how much of each item did you use? How long is the fireline and how many beads are necessary for this project? Thank you. I enjoyed the video.
@Potomacbeadco8 жыл бұрын
From the photo, we just counted approximately 55 beads on each of 4 sides. You can make that 4 different colors, or one color, or two colors... however you like. So the total bead count is approximately 220 6mm bugles, and 220 Miyuki 11/0 seed beads (plus a few more for attaching clasp). Allie always starts with about 5 feet of beading thread, then just adds on if she needs more.

I am getting ready to order bugles for this bracelet. approximately how many will I need?
@Potomacbeadco10 жыл бұрын
Not sure of the exact count, but 1 tube of each color (for a 2 color bracelet) should be more than enough.
@lorrainebrooks693410 жыл бұрын
Do they make bugle beads in plastic? I use wildfire and fireline and it never fails, a bugle bead always eventually breaks my thread, very annoying.
@Potomacbeadco10 жыл бұрын
What kind of bugle beads are you using?

Potomac Bead Company I don't remember, they are a couple years old, but I do know they are glass. I think I bought them on eBay.

A lot of the complaints about bugles cutting thread are from Chinese products, which have been used in place of Miyuki. I would try to do it with Miyuki.

I really love the exemple of the three colors it's Beautiful & easy to make but even if whe asked a thousand times to show the exemple as a video you always change the beads colors & this is something i don't like from Potomac!
@Potomacbeadco11 жыл бұрын
Allie told you in the video that she was going to make another one with additional colors. If we completed every project in the same colors, we would only have half the videos, because we would have hundreds of hours of additional work. We have also explained to you before that these videos are shot in many different areas... they can only be photographed in one. Files can be sent digitally, products cannot. Rather than make the tens of thousands of viewers wait weeks, we put another image up that is made the same way. Obviously you want to see a completed image, rather than a piece, and when the technique is the same, color choice in the image should not matter.
