8 years and we're still learning from you. You are the clearest and your instruction is very easy to understand and follow. Thank you for leaving them up. I'm even going to start buying my cord from your website, so far I've not been able to find good quality paracord.

Videos are great ! Back in the 1970's at the boys club we called the plastic strap "GIMP" it was a little thicker than they sell in the craft stores today , it also had cloth string inside for strength. The knots seem to be the same.

I made a lot of these lanyards and I always just started out with both cords forming a cross inside the keyring and going from there - less fiddly that way and provides more security to not lose the ring when one cord frays.
@hughjanus379810 жыл бұрын
Yup, when I as a kid we did that in summer camp, called lanyards, the flat plastic stuff would keep us busy all day!

I did about 3 or 3.5 foot of each color one. I didn't realize it was that long, until I put it on my motorcycle keychain. It's the same colors as my motorcycle, green and black, with paracord that has reflective spots. Since I don't have a Windshield, this thing is going to be blowing around and shinning at night, more than likely. I can't wait to see how it works. I might make a smaller one, like you did later. Your directions were easier to follow than others I watched. I might try a different one, like the round one, that is done similar to this one.

@petrescuework-difficultcas65819 жыл бұрын
In Germany they are called Scoobie Doos. I really like the look of them but some of them contain toxics to make the plastic softer. These toxics go over your skin into your blood and can cause cancer. That's why many of the producers were forbidden to sell them, after they found out. When buying them, look for if they are toxic free. You can still buy kinda "organic" ones here in Germany.

Thank you for taking the time to make this video. I'm brand new to crafting with Paracord like this and haven't attempted this project yet...but a suggestion for future videos: perhaps change the color of the table-top, as the white contrast is a bit of a glare--just a small thing and may not be worth the effort. Otherwise I really liked the video and the instructions seem easy to follow...PLUS NO ANNOYING MUSIC...so many seem to think they need to play some sort of music, rather than explaining how/why they're doing what they're doing, and even some of those who're verbally explaining the steps add unnecessary annoying music. Again, thank you for making this video and sharing your technique for creating this project.

I also used these Plastic Straps as a child in exact that pattern. (Funny, because i'm german and i didn't thought, that children in other countries used them too.) In retrospective, they were horrible. Brutally unstable, smelled like hell, but for some reason I loved them.

#BoredParacord I found your channel by accident today. I'm impressed. I bought a paracord jig and a generic pack of 550 cord last week on a whim to wrap my 5.11 rucksack handle. So far I've been making only cobra patterns and I learned the snake knot yesterday. This is another cool one! Wow this hobby is actually pretty fun and rewarding. I am looking into doing more and more things with paracord. This channel should help a lot with that. Thanks for your contributions. Hey, where are you acquiring your Paracord at? I would like to be able to order individual 10ft or 25 foot rolls of the exotic colors and camo patterns and put together an order instead of relying on the kits I find on Amazon where the colors are already selected for me. When did you get into doing this? How did you learn? Any tips on where I can get individual colors and put together my own set of Paracord?

It makes no difference whether you go clockwise or anti clockwise all the time. If you want you can go clockwise all the time or anti-clockwise all the time. All you need to do is ensure you flip over the cords of the same colour over the top and past each other then feed the cords of the opposite side ( colour) over the top and through the corresponding loop , directly opposite which you formed with the first flip. It still gives the same result.
