For real, and suddenly there will be a ton of AC adapters with cut off ends flooding the landfill. Really bad idea.

TPS25730 - CAD $4.10 for qty 1. awesome. TPS25730 Evalation board - CAD $289.62. Ouch! In theory, means somebody much be packaging up the TPS25730 in a more reasonably priced consumer adaptor. But I've yet to find it. It's encouraging to hear that possibility exists. The price of USB-C power adaptors is insane, comparable to the price of a high quality 850W PC power supply.

Ah yes, "reducing e-waste" by creating even more waste, now that otherwise perfectly functional AC adapters will likely end up in the landfill just because some dumbass decided to cut off the cord, in order to present a butchered "solution" to something that isn't even a problem. In fact, any universal power adapter that can be found in an electronics store comes with 10 or more assorted barrel jack tips, that can be attached depending on your need, while also being adjustable, offering a wide range of voltages, from 3-12 volts and more.
