Good afternoon Gabe. I cannot believe how the waterborne basecoat changes color from initial spray coat to dry basecoat. The match looks great. Your right Gabe, I am a life long learner at 63 years old and proud of that. Thanks and Take care.

I’m Spanish and I have been yelled at all my life and I turned out alright. Good one. That is how our parents expressed themselves. Quick tip for you Gabriel, keep hose off the floor helps dirt from falling on flat panels. Thanks a lot I learned how to tilt the gun to prevent runs.Take care and God bless you and your family.

This is a great video on blending and like you said making the gun do the work for you. Also loved the video about blending edge of sealer. Really learned a lot about what direction the gun should be pointing at all times and also I could never really get the WS400 to do what I want but realized watching your vids that using 35 psi and that I have to be EXTREMELY close to the panel like 3 inches away.

Crazy? Yeah, crazy GOOD! Love you Gabriel. Thanks for the great instruction! *I hope this is helpful* I spray custom bicycle finishes in Seattle using mostly PPG Deltron products (and some HOK and DuPont Cromax), not water-based paints because our laws do not require it. Also, painting smaller scale bicycles with many cylindrical shapes, tons of nooks & crannies and very few flat surfaces means my setup is quite a bit smaller, utilizing mini-guns (my fav so far is the Iwata LPH-80) and a small spray booth. Even though I am not spraying cars, I do find many helpful tips in your videos such as your gun angles and air pressure settings as mentioned here. And I love your style; it makes me feel like you are a good friend even though we haven't met (yet)! Take care! Adam

Hi...Can I first of all commend you on your informative videos. I am in total agreement with you about cleaning.....almost to an OCD. One can only try ones level best to eliminate the possibility of dirt nibs etc....however lady luck can sometimes be cruel, despite all the efforts. I am a seasoned custom painter used to solvents and agree with most of your approaches...there is more than one way to skin a cat! I wish you all the very best in life and enjoy the humour which you incorporate within your videos...it never had me laughing my head of...but makes me smile. We English do have a rather dry sense of humour... Oh...I am very much a SATA man, but have used a wide variety of other spray guns in my time. My warmest regards to you!!!

Hey Gabe that final coat of base you use which is not a drop coat, i call that a "fog coat" when you are using the atomization at the top of the fan to blend perfectly into the boot deck and quarter. Keep it up hermano, oh have a look out for Edwin at kzbin.infovideos another great painter.
@MOTIVATEDPAINTERS6 жыл бұрын
Ppg calls it a control coat I will not be the one to say one name is the right one and another wrong name for it lol
@smartrepairpro-uk6 жыл бұрын
MOTIVATED PAINTERS I may have worder that wrong ,i was talking about when you reduced the base and applied the last coat which was not wet but not dry either, it is somewhere in between. That is what i term a fog as you are using the top part of the fan to take the blend out to the futhest point you want it.

you look like a good painter, good technique. I still don't know why there are so many painters still using small air fittings and restrictive air regulators at the gun and not at the wall in front of the hose. Your guns are not going to perform to there designed potential until you ditch both and run straight laminar air to that gun. Just sayin.
